Comedian Reggie Carroll Shot Dead at 52 in Mississippi, Suspect in Custody

Comedian Reggie Carroll — A Baltimore native known for touring his stand-up routines across the country — was shot and killed in Mississippi last week, according to authorities. Carroll, 52, was gunned down in Southhaven on Wednesday, the Southhaven Police Department said in an update Saturday.

Officers responded to Burton Lane after reports of an isolated shooting and located “one male victim suffering from gunshot wounds,” cops said.

Despite providing “life-saving” measures, the victim, later identified as Carroll, died from his injuries, authorities confirmed. “One male is in custody and has been charged with the murder of Reginald Carroll. Our thoughts are with the family of Mr. Carroll. Thank you to the community for their patience and understanding,” police added in a statement.

That and a lot of southern red states have a higher percentage of blacks than a lot of blue states. IIRC that wasn’t a problem for the first century after abolition, during an era that blacks lived more godly lives than whites in other ways like raising kids in marriage (higher percentage of blacks being raised by both parents than whites being raised by both parents, according to Thomas Sowell). Sowell blames the culture change on the welfare state, and he may be correct. I blame it more on the sexual revolution.

The lawlessness of Memphis has bled into Jackson, Tennessee, Tupelo, Mississippi, and NW Mississippi. I used to live 80 miles east of Memphis on 72 and the feral blacks preying upon people along that road increased precipitously. Home invasions from Memphians occurred regularly. Gangsta’s from Memphis were routinely seen in NE Mississippi selling drugs and enforcing their terror. People owing money to the drug dealers were abducted in parking lots and murdered in the less populated areas of the county. One can't move far enough away from blacks to be safe.
