Some very sad news for those of us who grew up in the ‘80s and ‘90s listening to Adventures in Odyssey.
Dr. James Dobson, the founder of Focus on the Family ministries, author of multiple influential books on family and parenting, and founder of Family Talk and the James Dobson Family Institute, has passed away at the age of 89.

He was one of the good guys.
He will be missed, but we knew his walk was good.

There was a time when I listened to Focus on the Family nearly every day. It was very helpful to me. Thanks, Dr. Dobson. RIP.

I have no doubt Dobson was greeted with : "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!".

Years ago a pastor prayed for his children and generations to come. Amazingly, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren ALL went into the ministry. However, one great grandson got a PhD in Psychology. We know him as James Dobson.

Yet lots have prayed deeply and sincerely for their children, and watched as their kids rejected God entirely...
And lots of ministers are worthless. Not saying that was true of the Dobsons since I knew none of them and only heard a little about James Dobson. But if praying CAUSED the salvation and service of children and grandchildren, there would be far more Christians right now!

Rest In Peace, James Dobson.

Wow, for some of us, he was our champion in so many ways. A great legacy he has left indeed.
