The comment comes during a meeting at the White House among Trump and several European leaders, including Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.
President Donald Trump on Monday reiterated his view that a peace agreement is attainable between Russia and Ukraine, which would resolve the last war he has to handle as president.
Trump claimed that the Russia-Ukraine war is the most difficult for him to solve but that he previously viewed it as the easiest.
The comment came during a meeting at the White House between Trump and several European leaders, including Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"This is a decision that can only be made by President Zelensky and by the people of Ukraine working also together in an agreement with President Putin. And I just think that very good things are going to come of it," he said. "I believe a peace agreement at the end of all of this is something that's very attainable, and it can be done in the near future. With all of the wars that I got involved in, we only have this one left. Of course, as I walk out the door, there'll probably be a new one starting, and I'll get that stopped too."
Zelensky, who met with Trump privately earlier Monday, said that the conversation went well and that it focused on two areas, security guarantees for Ukraine and an exchange of prisoners.
"I think that we had a very good conversation with President Trump, very good," he told other European leaders. "It really was the best one, or, sorry, maybe the best one will be in the future, but it was really good, and we spoke about very sensitive points.
"The first one is security guarantees. And we are very happy with the President that all the leaders are here, and security in Ukraine...

Linda Graham is on Hannity. He wants sanctions. He wants conditions.
He wants war.
Iran is vying for attention again.
I can think of one more thing...
“””Linda Graham is on Hannity. “””
She is sad. All those years setting up Ukraine as a haven for money laundering and corruption shot to hell.
I don’t see President Trump giving much money for that. But we shall see. You know Linda will be pushing for it.
Three, and maybe more years of peace, and a rebuilding of our industrial base, and a return to a law-based judicial system. Who could complain about that, except for the AWFULs and social parasites, of course.
China/Taiwan would be the only big potential conflict out there if Russia/Ukraine is resolved and POTUS says Xi told him he will never make a move on Taiwan as long as Trump is President. I tend to believe that.
Ie., we have a VERY brief period to get ready...
Graham is pretty much irrelevant. But, there are many questions, of which 2 are:
IF there is to be ceding of land (which is a horrible mistake for the world in the long run), how will this be accomplished? The Ukrainian Constitution forbids it, and, Z-Man is NOT a dictator like Putin who can just run over his Constitution whenever he pleases. There would have to be a national referendum. How do the Ukies even do that, with 20% of the country occupied by Russia? That brings up a 2nd question:
The Ukie Nationalists (not the small group of Nazis, but sort of Ukraine’s version of MAGA, and a very large group) will bitterly oppose ceding of large and perhaps the most valuable parts of Ukraine to Russia. In practical terms, Zelenskyy, even with martial law, likely has less real power in Ukraine than Trump does in the USA. Will Z-Man push for a “solution” of ceding land, only to end up with his head literally on a pike?
That’s true. But a lot can happen in three years. Depending on who you listen to, there’s talk that the U.S. trade sanctions have hurt China’s economy a lot harder than they’re letting on.
China watcher Gordon Chang believes that Xi’s grip on power is not as solid as it once was. Best case scenario? In three years we’ll have significantly weaned ourselves from economic dependence on China and China’s rising star will be setting.
Grey hair looks good on you Delta7
Gordon Chang, who has been predicting the collapse of the Chicoms for about 10 years now
The trade sanctions have likely hurt China, IMO, but they are hurting us too. The latter may be the price to regain our industrial / defense base, but, as a very moderate income person, they bite.
The inflation numbers from DC, whether from Trump, or Biden, are hogwash. I needed a little power outlet extension, which of all places, Dollar Tree has had decent ones recently. (I’m a semi-retired EE, and I test them rather thoroughly.) Under Biden they went from $1.00, to $1.25. The latest shipment just went to $2.00. Ouch. Most of the stuff in the store just went up like that too, judging by all the red stickers denoting price changes. Wally World is bumping lots of prices too. (My daughter works there, so I get a bit of an inside scoop.) Now, there are few things I shop @ Dollar Tree for, but for low income people, these increases are going to be tough. Worse yet is their likely effect on our mid-term elections in 2026.
Yes, there is the promise of better wages from growth of industry, but, IMO, AI will take most of those jobs. Again, the mid-terms look bleak to me. :-(
In any event, with regard to Ukraine, we could be setting up another Gaza type situation, with the Ukie Nationalists in a “forever” large scale guerilla war (perhaps waged mostly with smart drones) against Russia. A lot of the world has a very different view of “land” than does President Trump, for whom it is something to wheel and deal over...
The problem is that it’s notoriously difficult to predict the collapse of an authoritarian regime. Such regimes are like buildings with strong facades that hide the cracks in their foundations. And because of their secretive nature it can be hard to predict exactly when things will fall apart. When the collapse happens it usually happens suddenly, with little notice, an ends quickly. The fall of the Soviet Bloc at the end of the Cold War is a perfect example.
Gordon Chang’s prediction track record may not be good, but it’s a difficult task, and he does a good job highlighting the weaknesses of the regime that are not obvious to the casual observer.
I’m a little more optimistic, but I guess time will tell.
If Zelensky will not sign off, President Trump should sign an agreement with Putin.
That is the US will not supply any additional arms to Ukraine for a guarantee that Russia will not advance further then agreed to within Ukraine.
Because of the ongoing power struggle in Zhongnanhai, the CCP is leaking like a sieve. Xi has instructed the PLA to be ready to invade Taiwan by 2027, but General Zhang Youxia believes that the PLA will not be ready to fulfill Xi’s timeline. In any case, it is unlikely that Xi will be making any important decisions regarding the military in the future.
