Are they crazy? Or are they just leftist? With some women, it’s hard to tell.

There was a video that made the rounds a few days ago, and I can’t get it out of my mind. In some ways, it’s a garden-variety video of a crazy lady. What makes it memorable is that it’s being framed as the quintessential “leftist Karen.” That raises an interesting question: Does leftism make women crazy, or are crazy women drawn to leftism? The question sounds simple, but it actually has serious implications for American society.

The video shows a woman chasing after a man because he violated her standards by having a purebred dog, from which she inferred that he left some unnamed, unknown, unloved mutt to die in an animal shelter. The video is long but mesmerizing because the woman is indeed the living embodiment of those women who compulsively impose their extreme and self-righteous values on everyone—and they’re almost invariably white women who have a college-educated vibe...

I found this video to be deeply disturbing:

To any normal, functional person, this woman is mentally ill. But is she? I have long thought (and frequently said) that Leftism is a mental illness and have real life experiences that buttress that assertion. The author (Andrea Widberg) poses the question "Does leftism make women crazy, or are crazy women drawn to leftism?"

I have heard it said often, and I have agreed with posts, and even said it myself that "College Educated Leftist White Women" (CELWW) are the greatest threat to our Republic.

This has been a subject that I have thought a great deal about over the last 20-30 years, because it is such an unfathomable paradox: I have known and closely worked with very intelligent CELWW, and it is clear they are not uneducated, illiterate, or intellectually challenged. Quite the contrary, In their fields, they are often quite accomplished. And this woman appears to be somewhat accomplished, though she might simply be a secretary with an overblown title (likely):

It is something else, not intelligence. I believe it is simply people who are so emotionally driven by certain things that even though they may have compartmentalized their professional life in one section of their brain, it is as if anytime something they are emotionally invested in rises to the surface, it wholly overrides any rationality they might happen to possess and it makes them appear to be insane.

I felt alarmed just watching this video, even though it is not much different than what I have seen in person with my own eyes and have been the target of. This man was fortunate he was videoing the encounter. She started screaming she was being assaulted, and in different circumstances, that man might have well found himself in handcuffs or worse.

Overall, I find this crushingly sad. This person has carved out her "15 minutes of fame" on the Internet, and that is what she will be known for as long as she lives. In her own mind, she would have to face that every day, but I suspect she will simply avoid confronting herself with her own behavior.

My wife and I went to dinner Friday night with a couple who are long time friends. We live in a town of about 1500 that for the most part is pretty conservative in a more liberal county because of the university. The town is small but the school district is pretty good sized.She (our friend) is a teacher at the school and has been for years. A lot of teachers are retiring and she said all of the incoming teachers are covid era college graduates and just completely off the rocker leftist.

Thankfully my youngest stepdaughter is a senior this year. The others are all grown and were raised staunchly conservative and remain so. I could tell other stories about the school, but it isn’t anything people aren’t already aware of.

I have a cousin who blocked and unfriended me on Facebook because I voted for Donald Trump. She is so batfeces crazy that she actually believes Donald Trump staged the whole Butler, PA assassination attempt. She is flat-out crazy. She worries about ICE coming to arrest her because her parents were not US citizens when she was born. They were both legal residents with green cards. Totally crazy.

Finally. You posted what it comes down too. Men look at everything by would you sleep with that? Then, is it in heat? Is it healthy? Is it intelligent? Is it a one nighter or can I spend 50+ years with it? Finally, if it and I have kids, will they be smart enough to be better than us? Years ago I briefly "dated" a leftist gal who "went off" like this woman. One time, with no provocation from me, she flipped the biscuit in a crowded restaurant, bringing all conversation and activity to a screeching halt. I was stunned into silence. That was "strike one."

"Strike two" happened when one evening, while driving somewhere, she, an Obama fanatic, casually said, "I think Obama is the smartest guy in the room, can you see that?" I replied by saying that if Obama was in a room with Einstein, Aristotle, Thomas Edison and Neils Bohr would he still be the "smartest guy in the room?" She instantly flipped out and started screeching and screaming at me like a maniac. I maintained my cool, told her to stop the car and walked home.

"Strike three" was a combination of her stinginess, hatred of traditional men like me, love of slimy beta cucks, habit of smoking dope and popping Xanax and her love of slimeballs Stephen Colbutt and Rachel Madcow etc.

Last I heard the woman was perpetually single, bitter and still leftwing. No cats yet, as far as I know. . .

Yes, she was already nuts so IMO, her attachment to leftistism was natural. I think almost all leftist women are crazy and unpalatable. No matter how hot, I would never go near one again. They are a mess.
