Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen says Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu has become a “problem,” adding she will try to put pressure on Israel over the Gaza war as her country currently holds the EU presidency.
“Netanyahu is now a problem in himself,” Frederiksen says in an interview with the Jyllands-Posten daily, adding that the Israeli government is going “too far.”
The center-right leader slams the “absolutely appalling and catastrophic” humanitarian situation in Gaza and new settlement project in the West Bank.
“We are one of the countries that wants to increase pressure on Israel, but we have not yet obtained the support of EU members,” she says.
Frederiksen adds that she wants to consider “political pressure, sanctions, whether against settlers, ministers, or even Israel as a whole,” referring to trade or research sanctions.
“We are not ruling anything out in advance. Just as with Russia, we are designing the sanctions to target where we believe they will have the greatest effect,” adds Frederiksen, whose country is not among those who have said they will recognize the Palestinian state.

Figures.
When I look for moral direction, I look to childless Scandinavian socialist women.
Mette loves the Hammie Boys.
Not all women are Social Democrats.
Two children from her first marriage.
In Western Europe, pretty much.
I wonder if their migrants have become “a problem”.
Dress her in an IDF uniform and dump the See You Next Tuesday off in Gaza.
It’ll be her Come-To-Hammie moment, broadcast to the world.
Yeah, I was just playing the odds…
Here’s something for Prime Minister Frederiksen to think about.
Denmark was occupied by the Nazis from 1940 until 1945. The Nazis are gone only because the Allies went “too far”.
Not “Center Right” according to Grok:
“Mette Frederiksen, as Denmark’s Prime Minister and leader of the Social Democrats, advocates for policies that blend strong left-wing elements on economics and social welfare with right-leaning positions, particularly on immigration. This mix would position her overall on the center-left of the American political spectrum—similar to moderate Democrats like Joe Biden or Bill Clinton—rather than aligning neatly with far-left progressives (e.g., Bernie Sanders or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) or conservatives.”
Denmark was occupied by the Nazis from 1940 until 1945.
But to their credit, most of the Jewish population of Denmark survived the war, because they were tipped off about the Nazi roundup, and escaped to Sweden, before the Nazis were able to round them up.
The ones that have a lock on politics over there these days certainly are.
CAN SOMEONE REMIND HER WHO ATTACKED WHO ON OCT 7th?
One who did survive was Victor Borge.
When the German armed forces occupied Denmark on 9 April 1940, during World War II, Borge was playing a concert in neutral Sweden and decided to go to Finland.
He traveled to America on the United States Army transport American Legion, the last neutral ship to make it out of Petsamo, Finland, and arrived 28 August 1940, with only $20 (about $449 today), with $3 going to the customs fee.
Disguised as a sailor, Borge returned to Denmark once during the occupation to visit his dying mother.
No social democrat is ever “center right”.
The Communist Party of the Soviet Union was originally called the Social Democratic Labor Party of Russia.
The prime minister with the problem is Denmark’s, who only spends 2% to 3% of his country’s GDP on defense. Raise your defense spending to 5% of GDP and then you can talk about which countries are problems.
Perhaps Hamas could return the hostages
Nobody worried about starving Germans while the Eighth Air Force was bombing them.
Nobody should worry about starving terrorists in Gaza either.
