A man was struck and killed by a SUV Thursday after running from a federal immigration enforcement operation at a Home Depot in Monrovia, according to authorities and witnesses.
The immigration enforcement activity was reported to Monrovia police just before 10 a.m. An officer then saw federal agents approaching the home improvement store on Mountain Avenue.
During the operation, someone ran from the scene, crossed Evergreen Avenue and entered the eastbound 210 Freeway, said Monrovia City Manager Dylan Feik. CHP officers said they received a report just before 10 a.m. that someone had been hit by a SUV on the freeway near Myrtle Avenue.
That person later died at a hospital, according to city officials.
State Rep. John Harabedian, who represents the San Gabriel Valley area, said 10 people were detained in the operation, one of several over the past two months at Home Depot locations in Southern California.

a little tidbit of info, when a person is struck by a vehicle on the highway they are usually knocked out of their shoes....strange but true.
So, the local Rats should have closed the freeways around Home Depots, car washes, and every other business known to employ illegals. This was bad local government. Lawless sanctuary cities cause death.

His family will sue that he wouldn’t have died had not the ICE been harassing him, sadly in Kookafonia they may win a big pay day.

No, he obviously wasn’t fearing for his safety. He was fearing for his deportation and threw safety to the wind.
