President Donald Trump's decision to federalize the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) continues to cause mass consternation on the left. Despite the move being unquestionably allowed under the Home Rule Act of 1973, which deals with the nation's capital as a federal district, accusations of "fascism" and "democracy" being threatened have flowed like milk and honey.
In other words, it's just another weekday.

How did we get here? A series of high-profile murders and violent assaults caught the attention of the president. Instead of taking action immediately, the administration asked the Democrat-laden city council to repeal some of its ineffective, harmful "social justice" policies that were letting criminals off the hook. Expectedly, they refused, and now, the consequences of that have arrived.
Because D.C. is the most liberal major city in the country (Kamala Harris won 90 percent of the vote in 2024), it was only a matter of time before the protests started. On Monday, angry left-wingers took to the streets in Dupont Circle to march down Massachusetts Avenue.

"Trump must go now," the banner reads, and he's surely done for now. I hear he's already tendered his resignation in the face of such an effective gambit. The libs have done it again.
Seriously, though, if you know anything about that part of town, you know that Northwest D.C. is where most of the white-bread NIMBYs live. It's generally considered the "safest" quadrant of the city, though that's a relative term. That means the people less likely to be victims of violent crime are protesting against the president for trying to stop violent crime in higher crime areas. Isn't that nice of them?
But at the very moment they were marching toward 14th Street NW to show their disdain for the orange man, something shocking happened. Just a few blocks away in Logan Circle, a person was (presumably) murdered.

You can't make this stuff up. Democrats staged a protest to demand Trump's resignation over his push to make D.C. safer, and they couldn't even finish their march before a murder happened right next to them. I don't want to make light of that dynamic, given that a human being is dead (unless they revived the non-breathing person, and I haven't seen any report of that). Still, the irony can't be ignored.
D.C. has a huge problem, and all the manipulation of data in the world isn't changing. It's shameful that the city council and so many residents of the city seem to care more about opposing Trump than stopping people from being murdered.
The stupid truly burns with these unhinged leftists.
In spite of trying to show this as a big rally, even the camera angle from the front could not disguise the lack of people or energy in this so-called protest.
What exactly do the democrats mean by:
“TRUMP MUST GO”
Is that a threat?
Is it a call for Trump to be taken out?

In honor of the capital, we could change the counting of our Lord’s years with the designation D.C. (during Christ), so that, for example, the flight to Egypt ✈️ took place in 2 DC, and His ministry began in 30 DC.

The problem with DC is that it’s filled with democrats. You will NEVER stop or prevent the violence, crime, and vice until you eradicate democrats. Period, end of story.
