Trump: 'The Mayor of D.C., Muriel Bowser, is a good person who has tried, but she has been given many chances, and the Crime Numbers get worse, and the City only gets dirtier and less attractive. The American Public is not going to put up with it any longer'
President Trump announced on Sunday that his news conference on Monday will deal with the "beautification" of the nation's capital, adding that Washington, D.C. Mayor Murial Bowser has had "many chances" to fix the crime problem.
"The Press Conference on Crime and 'Beautification' will be held tomorrow, at 10:00 A.M. EST, in the Press Briefing Room, and it will not only involve ending the Crime, Murder, and Death in our Nation’s Capital, but will also be about Cleanliness and the General Physical Renovation and Condition of our once beautiful and well maintained Capital," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
"The Mayor of D.C., Muriel Bowser, is a good person who has tried, but she has been given many chances, and the Crime Numbers get worse, and the City only gets dirtier and less attractive. The American Public is not going to put up with it any longer," he added.
Trump also mentioned the Federal Reserve building renovation that is taking place.
"We are not going to allow people to spend $3.1 Billion Dollars on fixing up a building, like the Federal Reserve, which could have been done in a far more elegant and time sensitive manner for $50 to $100 Million Dollars," he wrote on social media.
"The Renovation would have actually been better, and we would have saved $3 Billion Dollars, Traffic Jams, and never-ending Construction," he added.
Trump compared his forthcoming plan for D.C. safety to his handling of the border.

Don’t bet against Trump. He thinks big. I wonder if he’s going to nationalize the city government (assuming he’s legally authorized to do so) or just supplement with federal law enforcement.
‘Conference on Crime and ‘Beautification’.’
LOL. Only Trump.
Do people still name their dogs Bowser?
Make DC GREAT, again ... and, kick Bowser to the curb.
Bowow was on a Sunday morning show touting the drop in crime in D.C.
It's amazing how much crime can drop when you stop taking reports.
An excellent opportunity to demonstrate to Washingtonians that Democrats have no remedies or answers to make things better.
The thugs who beat up Edward Coristine (aka “Big Balls”) have unknowingly unleased a furious President Trump who is going to go through DC like crap through a goose.
Expect a unified, large force of feds kicking the hell out of all DC thugs who will wish they had never tried to terrorize the capitol.
I favor the good guys crippling the DC thugs so thoroughly they cannot walk unassisted and have to be fed soft food.
They deserve a permanent, debilitating punishment a jail imprisonment cannot fix.
Bowser did what was expected of her. Collect a salary for being black and female. She was not expected to stop crime, since that would mean more black men in prison.
Trump wants to clean things up. Dems will fight that. It doesn’t bother them that they are responsible for all the misery in the district.
Here’s an update.
President Trump Deploys 120 FBI Agents to Washington DC Streets to Combat Violent Crime and Carjackings

Why does Trump preface his statements like this so often. She is NOT a good person. It will never ingratiate his detractors, only frustrate his supporters.
Many of these thugs are minors. Are they counted in the crime stats?
Not true.
