Netanyahu claims Hamas is refusing to "lay down its arms" so Israel has "no choice but to finish the job".

The Israeli prime minister claims there are "two remaining strongholds" in Gaza, that he intends to "dismantle".
Netanyahu used the map below to illustrate where he says they are - the central camps, and Gaza City.
"We have about 70 to 75% of Gaza under Israeli control, military control," Netanyahu says.
He adds: "Last Thursday, Israel's cabinet, Israel's security cabinet, instructed the IDF to dismantle the two remaining Hamas strongholds in Gaza City and the central camps."
He claims this is "the best way to end the war."
Seemingly, this is where the next fighting will be and where Israel will concentrate its attacks.

In your revisionist history, you would dismiss the role American forces and their Kurdish allies played in defeating the biggest Islamist threat of all--ISIS.
Israel played a minimal role at best in defeating the ISIS caliphate. Aside from intelligence sharing, they played no combat role whatsoever.
During ISIS's peak (2014-2019), Israel's entire focus was on countering Iran and Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon. In Syria, they saw Assad as their primary threat rather than the caliphate that was metastasizing from Raqqa.
It was the US and the Kurds who took the fight to ISIS, with little to no help from the Israelis.

You mis-understate the younger generation. There is a huge disconnect between here and the general populace which I think is trending AGAINST Israel I’m sad to say. But after 2 years of the war I can see why and I support Israel despite being critical and maybe not showing it much.

You are absolutely right and I am sorry. My mind was thinking about what has being going on recently. The US was definitely fighting the Jihad in Iraq and Afghanistan during certain years we were in these two places. The problem with the Afghanistan war was that it morphed into a meals on wheels- social work project.
We went into Iraq to get rid of Saddam, not to make war against Jihadists. Saddam’s Iraq was Sunni ruled, so was a bulwark against the crazy Shiite Ayatollahs of Iran.
