Donald Trump is making good on his pre-election promises and continues to push for favorable crypto regulations.
Today, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, signed an Executive Order that aims to allow 401(k) investors access to alternative assets (such as digital assets).
According to the official announcement:
“The order directs the Secretary of Labor to reexamine the Department of Labor’s guidance on a fiduciary’s duties regarding alternative asset investments in ERISA-governed 401(k) and other defined-contribution plans.” This comes as part of Trump’s plans to establish the country as the leading player in the cryptocurrency industry. To this point, the order also stipulates that “alternative assets, such as private equity, real estate, and digital assets, offer competitive returns and diversification benefits.”
The entire cryptocurrency market soared on the news, with Bitcoin’s price trading above $117,000, charging a 2% intraday increase.

Baron alone made enough off “Trump Coin”—which is practically useless as a currency—so that he would never have to work a second in his life. And he made that in about three days.

If it wasn’t weeks before the inauguration it would feel less slimy. But I guess you can use them to buy Trump watches, sneakers, and bibles so there is that.

The Trump coin was a massive rug pull, causing investors to lose thousands of dollars overnight. I would not trust any Trump family member pushing crypto, outside of Bitcoin.

I’m not concerned about Bitcoin. I have a tiny amount and most people understand the risks. I don’t like the private equity angle on Trumps executive order. Most people don’t understand the product at all. They are simply thinking “hey, really rich people buy these, must be right for me”. I love 99% of Trumps ideas...not his part of this EO.
I have made 2 vacation trips to Orlando on my money made on crypto. I am actively buying them again now.
Hold on to your paper money and see how well it does against inflation.
