In a chilling and grotesque act of psychological warfare, Hamas released a disturbing video showing Israeli hostage Evyatar David—visibly emaciated and barely able to stand—being forced to dig what appears to be his own grave in a tunnel beneath Gaza. The 24-year-old hostage is seen crossing off days on a calendar, holding a nearly empty can of beans, and stating he hasn’t eaten in days. “This can is for two days… so that I don’t die,” he says. “This is the grave I think I’m going to be buried in. Time is running out.”
The nearly five-minute video, released Friday, is part of a calculated propaganda campaign by Hamas meant to terrorize the Israeli public and pressure the Netanyahu government into making concessions. It comes amid stalled negotiations between Israel and the Iranian-backed terror groups Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, who continue to hold Israeli civilians hostage while making outrageous demands.
The David family, who permitted the release of the footage, issued a heart-wrenching statement via the Hostages Families Forum Headquarters:
“We are forced to witness our beloved son and brother, Evyatar David, deliberately and cynically starved in Hamas’s tunnels in Gaza — a living skeleton, buried alive. The deliberate starvation of our son as part of a propaganda campaign is one of the most horrifying acts the world has seen," the family wrote.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the footage, stating:
“Hamas terrorists deliberately starve our hostages, documenting them in a cynical, humiliating, and malicious manner," Netanyahu said.
This latest video lays bare the depravity of Hamas, revealing once again that the terror group has no regard for human life—Israeli or Palestinian. By showcasing such horrific abuse, Hamas is not only committing war crimes but also revealing the depths to which it will sink in its campaign of terror and manipulation.
And The Hague is silent.
I don’t think Hamas is going to get the psychological effect they were hoping for with the Israeli public.
This sort of stuff only pisses people off.
Sometimes we can convince ourselves that the intent is to target a foreign audience, when in reality it’s serving our own sick and perverse need for wrath.
The fact that Hamas does this shows that despite all their efforts and advances in the Information Operations arena (early on they did extremely well), they are amateurs and will long term lose the support they built up.
Israel was caught with their pants down 7 October. Not only were they surprise attacked, they then lost ground in the ensuing IO battle.
Hamas showed some complexity and planning which was definitely synched to operations.
But long term Israel will win. The Israeli’s are more professional and won’t make amateur blunders like this. Their consistent performance in IO will make them regain the ground lost early on by the Palestinian media blitz.

Some of the released prisoners a few weeks ago said the terrorists would eat full meals in front of him to torment him as he was slowly being starved to death day by day.

Eli Sharabi: Lost over 30 kilograms (40% of his body weight), returning to Israel weighing 44 kg.
Omer Wenkert: Lost 66 pounds during captivity.
Adult Hostages (General): Reports indicate weight loss of 8 to 15 kilograms (18 to 33 pounds).
Child Captives (General): Experienced an average loss of 10% in body weight, with some losing as much as 18%.
Other health concerns
Besides weight loss, released hostages have suffered from a range of other health issues, including:
Severe malnutrition.
Muscle deterioration.
Weakened immune systems.
Infections and other illnesses.
Gastrointestinal issues like chronic diarrhea and intestinal infections.
Skin problems like rashes and sores.
Exacerbation of pre-existing health conditions.
Physical injuries like untreated fractures and nerve damage.
Severe psychological disorders like anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Cognitive damage and psychological responses to extreme hunger and captivity, similar to those documented in Holocaust survivors.
Metabolic damage and electrolyte imbalances.
In children, stunted growth, delayed sexual maturation, and cognitive developmental damage.

You’re right. It’ll take a glazing. Islam’s root has been pure aggression since day one. It’s like an aggressive cancer that needs irradiation to slow it’s progression or kill it.
Unfortunately, it’s not singularly Israel’s problem. The mid east said so long ago. As an example, Iran was chanting death to Israel, death to America already in 1979.

This relates to something the podcaster Yishai Fleisher said a while back. Let's just mark the graves and prepare empty caskets for the hostages in captivity, living and dead. Then clean out Gaza.
If any come back alive, let the Rabbis deal with the issue of resurrection.
Israel should just give them a deadline... Release all of the hostages now or we'll assume you've killed them all. When that happens we will kill every last one of you. Every last one. It's what they all deserve anyway.
