“Well, that’s very stylish.” So said tough silver-screen cop Dirty Harry Callahan, in the 1976 film The Enforcer, reacting to a feminist initiative. Its goal was, a woke female official informed, to “broaden the areas of participation for women in the police force.”
This was, of course, art imitating life, and today we’re so stylish that it doesn’t even seem stylish anymore. It does, however, seem dangerous and foolhardy to many — and you can count Duke among them.
I’ll let the reader figure out if this includes me. But right now I’m talking about Daily Caller senior editor Amber Duke. Fed up with the recent sad and tragic mob-attack spectacle in Cincinnati, Ohio, Duke asks, “Is It Time To Ban Girl Cops?”
My, my, now that is a third rail of American social commentary.
Reviewing what happened in Cincinnati, Duke’s colleague, Geoffrey Ingersoll, wrote Tuesday:
A middle-aged [white] woman was knocked out cold on Cincinnati’s streets a few nights ago. The video of it went viral. It showed a violent mob [of black people] viciously attacking at least two [white] men while onlookers filmed and egged everyone on. She appears to have not been a primary instigator in the violence. Rather, she was putting herself in harm’s way to keep the peace when a man flat-out cold-cocked her, knocking her out instantly.
… The woman fell to the ground unconscious, her sundress piling up near her midsection. Her dignity was not intact. Her mouth was bleeding profusely.
As for talking profusely, about the wrong things, Duke says this is precisely what the Queen City’s female police chief is guilty of. As Duke wrote Thursday:
Cincinnati Police Department Chief Teresa Theetge, during a Monday press conference, deflected blame and had the gall to chastise...

Ban girl cops, girl pilots, and girl bunch of other things.
Yes.
Also, all female Chiefs of Police and Fire Chiefs.
I know some can do the job, but there have been way too many who were not up to it.
From what I see in the UK the women cops are generally doormats whenever they have to deal with a Muslim and the men have to take over. But if just the routine jailing of Brits complaining about their government, the women cops do fine.
I can see a place for women in LE but not on the streets or alone.
The DEI Chiefs with ill fitting uniforms with 10 stars on the collar are hilarious and dangerous to society.
Girl cops are fine as long as they don’t have to arrest a man their size or larger.
“How fast do you run the hundred?”
Girl cops can do a fine job 65% of the time, then they run into a large dude or a complex tactical situation and get run over.
Female cops are needed to be decoy prostitutes/streetwalkers, especially when some maniac serial killer is murdering prostitutes, or to trap men who are soliciting hookers.
They’re also good at handling (hand-cuffing, etc.) suspected female law violators and taking them into custody.
Otherwise...?
Cincinnati is run by a city council and a mayor who are all Demonicrats. Appointing someone like Teresa Theetge as Police Chief should be no surprise.
Good Luck with that one!
Consider a giant Hornet’s Nest swiftly kicked.
Well, one thing is for sure. Women should not be patrol officers. And neither should they be NFL linemen. Both jobs require considerable physical strength.
No disrespect meant to the ladies. But the huge majority of them just don’t have that strength.
As to Cincinnati’s Chief Teresa Theetge, I don’t think that’s a gender thing. Most big city police chiefs are political creatures. There’s a good chance a male cop would have babbled on the same way.
When you watch the cop shows and a female (or two females) are talking to potential suspects you can see the potential perp’s expressions—is this worth running or not?
Their indecisiveness is very amusing—because they know they will probably outrun the female cop(s)—but what they don’t know is how far away they are from the all male cop car that has not shown up...yet.
. . . and female cops are much quicker to resort to deadly force, i.e., to draw and fire their sidearm.
I watch the Police Activity channel on Youtube. You see how worthless female cops are in real life, uncensored scenarios.
No. They’re good enough for most cop stuff, and if they don’t mind getting the crap beat out of them, neither do I, as long as the other cops around them are aware of the increased risk to themselves.
I'd argue for conscription of women into law enforcement, maybe as terms of their parole or taxpayer-funded child support - you know, to smash the patriarchy.
