Steve Witkoff posted on X that he met yesterday with Israeli officials to discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
"Today, we spent over five hours inside Gaza — level setting the facts on the ground, assessing conditions, and meeting with other agencies. The purpose of the visit was to give President Trump a clear understanding of the humanitarian situation and help craft a plan to deliver food and medical aid to the people of Gaza."
Ambassador Mike Huckabee also posted on X that, “this morning I joined Steve Witkoff for a visit to Gaza to learn the truth about aid sites. We received briefings from the IDF and spoke to folks on the ground. GHF delivers more than one million meals a day, an incredible feat!
Ahead of the visit to Gaza, Huckabee spoke with Scott Jennings on Salem Radio, when he said the trip was initiated by President Trump, who requested firsthand reporting on the humanitarian situation in Gaza. "The president wants us to go see firsthand and report back to him directly," Huckabee stated. The delegation intends to visit food distribution sites and areas reported to be experiencing starvation.
"There has been so much misinformation," Huckabee said, criticizing Western media portrayals of the situation. "We see a very different picture of what's taking place in Gaza than most people who are reporting on it from the New York Times...

So, my tax dollars support both sides in this mess?
Which side would you prefer be cut off first?
It would be nice if the U.S. had other assets to learn about the circumstances on the ground in Gaza. Maybe intelligence assets, drones, satellite footage, electronic surveillance, etc....
Something tells me that a guided tour for an overweight politician who is a lifelong Zionist and who’s religious beliefs center around Israel expelling the muslims and building the 3rd temple....is maybe not the most reliable way of getting accurate information.
Maybe I’m wrong though.
These fellows are supposed to be representing America. Not running social welfare programs in the Middle East.
Maybe listen to what all sides have to say and evaluate them on the merits, and stop resorting to personal attacks in lieu of curiosity about the facts?
The US does have other assets for gathering intelligence. But those on the other end of the listening and observing equipment also have their biases.
Everyone has biases, except you of course. You’re totally objective./sarc
Donald Trump told them to do this, so they are the official social workers of the ME.
1 million meals a day. 1 million don’t get a meal.
Oh, well. We tried.
Whose coin?
Reports by the UN-backed Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) and other international aid organizations indicate that Gaza is experiencing famine.
Multiple factors by Israel have contributed to this catastrophic situation:
Conflict and Displacement: The ongoing Israeii conflict has caused mass displacement, leaving millions without safe shelter and access to essential services. This widespread displacement further destabilizes food access and availability.
Blockade and Aid Restrictions: Israel’s ongoing blockade and restrictions on the movement of commercial goods and humanitarian aid into Gaza have severely limited the flow of food and essential supplies.
While Israel has recently eased some restrictions-—the volume of aid entering Gaza remains significantly lower than what is required to meet the needs of the population.
Destruction of Infrastructure: The Israeii conflict has caused significant damage to Gaza’s infrastructure, including roads, water and sanitation systems, and agricultural land, further hindering the ability to produce, transport, and access food. Local food production has collapsed, and markets are failing due to shortages and prohibitively high prices.
Security Concerns and Aid Distribution Challenges: The unsafe conditions and ongoing Israeii bombing make it extremely dangerous to deliver and distribute aid within Gaza. Aid convoys face delays, obstructions, and looting, and civilians seeking aid have been killed or injured by Israeii military in the process.
Malnutrition and Disease: The combined Israeli-induced factors have led to a sharp deterioration in food consumption and a dramatic increase in malnutrition rates, particularly among children. The breakdown of the health system and lack of access to clean water exacerbate the situation, creating a dangerous cycle where malnutrition and disease reinforce each other, leading to illness and death.
International organizations, including the UN, are urgently calling for an immediate and sustained Israeii ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian access, and the restoration of essential services to prevent further loss of life and alleviate the suffering in Gaza.

President Donald Trump addressed the ongoing concerns of famine in Gaza on Monday, breaking from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Sunday comments in which the Israeli lied to keep the US tax dollars rolling in.....Netanyahu’s money grabbing whopper: “There is no starvation in Gaza.”
Trump was asked about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza while meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Turnberry, Scotland. “It’s going to be working where the United States will be helping with the food. You know, we have a lot of access to food; we got a lot of food ourselves, and we’re going to bring it over there. We’re also going to make sure that they don’t have barriers stopping people,” Trump said when asked about the issue. He added:
“You know, you’ve seen the areas where they actually have food, and the people are screaming for the food in there. They’re 35, 40 yards away, and they won’t let them because they have lines that are set up, and whether they’re set up by Hamas or whoever, but they’re very strict lines, and we have to get rid of those lines.”
“But we’re going to be getting some good, strong food. We can save a lot of people. I mean, some of those kids are — that’s real starvation stuff. I see it, and you can’t fake that. So we’re gonna be even more involved. We did some airlifts before, some airdrops, and the people are running for it. And the Prime Minister is going to help us. They’re very effective with that. You’ve done that before and for many. They’ve done that for 100 years very well, so it’s not very hard to do, actually.”
Widespread media reports have documented the dire conditions in Gaza in recent days as social media has also been awash with a typical amount of misinformation – including images taken from other war zones or out of context.
Aid distribution sites in Gaza have become flash-points of violence in recent weeks as Israeli shootings killed scores of Palestinians.
Some of us on FR see what is going on.
Too bad Huck doesn’t realize he is being conned.
The same “Gaza” propaganda show that has been going on since the 60’s.

I’ll bring the coin.

Chuck Holton: Many of you know I’ve been trying to get into Gaza since the war began. Today, FINALLY, the IDF consented to let me cross into the strip with a small press junket. The reason they finally relented? The IDF is getting their head handed to it in the public space because of the “famine” narrative. Today, they pulled out the stops and took a group of journalists in on the ground to see the actual situation for themselves. Here’s what I saw...
