This is amazing. Trump gets rid of 6.7% of the government sluggards and look at the accomplishments that have been made in the last 7 months.
The headline seems shocking, and then it turns out Trump is getting rid of them.
A different headline would fit better.
Private companies to something akin to this too.
It is a worthwhile long term investment... :)
There are far more not working and getting paid.
You mean like an “HONEST” headline.
wait till we find out how many able bodies are on welfare... it’ll make this number look like a rounding error
And lo, the Yankees have turned it around and won five out of six since Aaron Judge went on the 10-day injured list.
Not that Aaron Judge was the problem. Far from it. But changes, shakeups, sometimes they wake up what’s been asleep.
Yup
They weren’t working anyway, so why does it matter? At least they aren’t using electricity sitting at their desk on their computers playing video games and watching who knows what.
The Yankees stink. The Rays stink worse. Another bad day for Tampa Bay.
We have been paying these people to not work for a long time
The only real change in their status is that now the free ride ends in a few months
Including pensions, the government is paying hundreds & hundreds of thousands not to work. And several hundred thousand more to barely work.
As per usual the 3 more than likely liberal twits it took to write this propaganda failed to do their homework in the form of math.......over time these cuts will save taxpayers God knows how much money....
Typical shortsighted liberal mindset.
Gee, not seeing any articles from the WSJ whining about severance pay in actuality being companies paying people not to work...
Besides, given what value bureaucrats typically bring, getting rid of them now and just paying them for a few months, I consider that a net positive.
“”””They weren’t working anyway, so why does it matter?””””
In far too many cases government employees work very hard against the interests of the taxpayers.
And in far too many cases these government employees would be working hard to put up roadblocks to stop the Trump administration’s MAGA agenda.
“A different headline would fit better.”
Ah, but it wouldn’t fit the lefty narrative better.
Having worked in Corporate America and International Corporations the last 30 years, yes, Cutting someone loose with X x Months severance pay can be well worth getting rid of dead weight. “Short term pain for long term gain.”
How can they tell?.....................
