I believe Trump talked up Ukraine to convince agencies like the FBI that they had time to purge records if need be as he would busy with diplomacy. But then on day 1 Trump and his administration’s true focus was revealed to be taking on corruption in the agencies and funding (USAID) etc. The Deep State didn’t even know what hit them - suddenly doors locked, logons stop working - in key places. What would people think if corrupt FBI were on the news complaining they couldn’t access secure rooms with burn bags in them? They couldn’t log onto their computers?

I believe we weren’t told of the internal measures to secure the premises, records, servers etc. Shock and awe.
