CNN's Harry Enten Says Dems Are 'Breaking Records in a Way You Don’t Want to Break Records'

Are they that devastated by Donald Trump’s return to the White House? Democrats are hoping history and voter backlash on the GOP agenda will buoy them to electoral success next year. There are many problems, not least being that they have no message, no agenda, and no charismatic leaders to rally around.

They’re a mess—I don’t know how many polls they disregard, but even liberal pollsters know the Democratic Party’s approval rating is trash. The Wall Street Journal found it to be the worst in 35 years, and before they get to a mountain of issues to mount a comeback, they’re failing at persuading voters that they’d do a better job. CNN’s Harry Enten was more brutal: the Democrats are “breaking records in a way you don’t want to break records.”

The Democratic Party’s image has eroded to its lowest point in more than three decades, according to a new Wall Street Journal poll, with voters seeing Republicans as better at handling most issues that decide elections.

The new survey finds that 63% of voters hold an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party—the highest share in Journal polls dating to 1990 and 30 percentage points higher than the 33% who hold a favorable view.

That is a far weaker assessment than voters give to either President Trump or the Republican Party, who are viewed more unfavorably than favorably by 7 points and 11 points, respectively. A mere 8% of voters view the Democrats “very favorably,” compared with 19% who show that level of enthusiasm for the GOP.

Democrats have been hoping that a voter backlash against the president will be powerful enough to restore their majority in the House in next year’s midterm elections, much as it did during Trump’s first term. But the Journal poll shows that the party hasn’t yet accomplished a needed first step in that plan: persuading voters they can do a better job than Trump’s party.

On the whole, voters disapprove of the president’s handling of the economy, inflation, tariffs and foreign policy. And yet in each case, the new Journal poll found, voters nonetheless say they trust Republicans rather than Democrats to handle those same issues in Congress.

I’m skeptical of those polls. Ex-MNSBC host Chris Matthews, who called Trump's first inaugural address “Hitlerian,” said he dismisses the negative polls because the president a) knows the pulse of the country and b) the nation is trending toward Trump on the issues. As of now, Democrats have doubled down on being insane. Some guests may say the right things about the party being too niche, left-wing, radical, and condescending, but the party writ large appears comfortable setting itself on fire again.

The Democrats are deeply unpopular because of the politicians they put on TV. Their problem is not the message, it’s the messengers. They’re awful.

“Their problem is not the message,”

They don’t have a message.

Yes they do.

Wypepo bad.

Men can be women, and women, men.

Cars with IC engines are bad.

Etc.

All really, really bad places to start from, when setting policy.

And that POLITICAL GENIUS, MASSIE, WANTS TO JOIN.

Give me a break. I’m thinking of relocating to Kentucky so I could vote for his primary opponent.

No, that is their normal state. Cheating, USAID and the MSM have bolstered them for decades. Now, cheating is all they have.

Fun fact, Harry Enten is the nephew of Neil Sedaka. Fox should hire Enten. He’s about the only intellectually honest person at CNN, or at least he does a good job of pretending. He’d be good over at Fox.

I still don’t know when Harry Enten is on CNN. Every time I try looking for him I never see him.

Curious to know how many are negative on the Ds because their policies suck and how many are negative because they don’t think the Ds are left enough.

“I still don’t know when Harry Enten is on CNN.”

Same here. I do see video clips of him often on “Chicks On The Right” podcast every morning.

They’re 3 for 3. 3M. The messaging, the messengers and most importantly the message are all bad.

It is satisfying to watch democrats without stolen taxpayer funds.

Without an endless supply of cash, which they used to create a sense of their own popularity, they are nothing but frauds and cashless kooks.

Pretty much explains why they’re riding the Jeffrey Epstein issue so strong. They think it will sever the bond between Trump and his base.

It won’t.

Scott Jennings does a great job ridiculing the left on CNN panel shows. He and Enten need to stay at CNN to contrast the idiocy of the rest of them.

Their message is and always has been:

“Vote for us and you get free stuff!”.

Unfortunately, its popular with 45% - 47% of the electorate.

It’s their Ideology that is the problem and their messengers can no longer hide it....their true colors are shining through.

Umm... isn’t the Dem message of “Let’s have more socialism and runaway spending and open borders!!!!” a bit problematic?

For the Dems, the problems are the messengers AND the messsge

There’s fake news and then there’s wishful thinking news. This is a case of wishful thinking news where the wishful thinking never came to fruition.
