Columbia University to pay out more than $220M after violating Jewish students’ civil rights in massive win for Trump admin

The Trump administration has won unprecedented concessions from Columbia University in a sweeping settlement — with the Ivy League school paying more than $220 million and pledging to reverse racially discriminatory practices and resolve civil rights violations against Jewish students and workers, The Post can exclusively reveal.

The settlement, under which Columbia will agree to submit to independent monitoring to ensure it is complying with merit-based hiring and admissions requirements, is likely to put pressure on other schools — like Harvard University— that have crossed the White House over tolerance of extreme Jew-hatred on campus since the Oct. 7, 2023, attack by Hamas against Israel.

The resolution comes after just four months of negotiations between Columbia and Trump, striking a stark contrast with Harvard, which decided to drag the administration into court for stripping the school of $2.6 billion in grants and other funding.

A source familiar with the negotiations noted that $400 million yanked from Columbia in March when talks began would have snowballed to affect billions of dollars of university research grants and other funding had an agreement not been reached.

Isn’t that just, like, um, about HALF of what US Taxpayers have paid INTO Columbia in aid to state colleges in the last what, five-ten years?

Uncle Sam’s DOJ giveth with one pocket, robbeth from the other.

Why are we giving billions to east coast universities that have 100s of Billions of capital assets, while our Taxpayer funds are 37T$ in debt?

Why?

The 1964 Civil Rights Act, particularly title IV and title VI and later amendments under title IX, created the decades-long foundation for progressive-woke social-engineering and control of American education.

Under this program bloated-Democrat Fed.gov in DC provides ever-more money, in exchange for universities becoming left-woke-marxist political blocs. Everyone in DC and the Left cheered and supported this movement for 60 years.

Trump has now taken this political weapon - Fed.gov money and powerful civil rights laws, and turned it on leftist universities themselves to force change, on the obvious pretext of Jewish students facing discrimination and danger.

Columbia - because its the worst of the worst in terms of leftist, wokeism, and out-of-control globalism

And Harvard, because it’s the top university and if you make an example of them, others will fall into line.

It is that “independent monitoring” component that is the most important feature.

UTAustin tried the same sort of crappola when state legislature outlawed DEI. They said, yeah, yeah, and then promptly re-branded that garbage. So, legislature sent them a letter saying that complete compliance was required and they would be auditing the entire Uni admin within the year.

Trust, but Verify.

Why was this outcome not obvious to these ostensibly intelligent university administrators?

They have brainwashed themselves with leftism, and treat our history and laws with contempt.

Columbia says:

Okay, here’s your millions, when can I get my billions?
