The report is unverified, but the Russians have been leaving the corpses to rot where they fell. If he's still alive, his best bet is surrender to the Ukies if possible. Of course, the Ruskies will kill their own when surrendering.

There were many better choices for living abroad and living in a more traditional society.

Drafting Huffman into a frontline unit was a bad move from the Russian point of view. What’s one more untrained infantryman worth? Not much.

But as a propaganda piece, this guy had some value. If anything, they should have put him in a supply unit somewhere. Then show him loading ammunition or something like that.
