nearly all of Rite Aid's Connecticut stores will be closed by Labor Day
...
The only store that doesn't have a definitive closing is the Stratford store, which is located at 3680 Main St. A female employee there on Friday said workers haven't been told yet when that location will shutdown.
When questioned about the closing date, she agreed to answer the question if she could remain anonymous, because of concerns of potential retribution by Rite Aid officials. Company officials did not respond to a request for comment about the remainder of its Connecticut closings on Friday.
Rite Aid announced it would go out of business as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing on May 5, 2025.
Go woke, go broke.
CC
They’ve closed in northeastern PA too.
Not far behind will be CVS and aetna.
I can’t remember the last time I was in a Rite Aid store.
That being said I suspect there is a regional thing going on here.
Lefty locations would likely be sub-optimal.
Get OUT while you can....
What is the point of including that irrelevant tidbit?
Women and children hardest hit.
“””A female employee there on Friday said …
What is the point of including that irrelevant tidbit? “””
Exactly. How do they know she is a female?
Exactly.
What is the point of including that irrelevant tidbit?
There are so many possibilities nowadays.
It’s my understanding that Rite Aid has struggled for decades.
All Rite Aid stores to close or be sold as company files for bankruptcy..

Yeah. They'll likely be closing.
All 3 close here, in York PA, on July 23rd.
After 20+ years, I’ve moved my 26 Rxs to Weis Pharmacy.
CVS is owned by aetna or vice-versa.
The aetna medicare went to crap with biden’s cuts for seniors.
Other medicare plans have completely cut any over-the-counter benefits.
Our RiteAid in Hayden, Idaho is gone. The nearby Walgreens has a special phone recording for RiteAid customers transferring prescriptions to Walgreens.
We have Walgreens, Safeway, and Walmart pharmacies nearby, so no big loss.
And a biological female at that?!
Define “female”....
Why do you think that will happen? A failing in CVS, or in Aetna?
“...26 Rxs...”
How is that even possible?
