“”There are no copy editors now.””
That’s for sure!
I wonder if it will pull a metal cap of of a tooth?
birthday suits for MRIs
“What about those with metal rods attached surgically for broke or deteriorated bones?”
You’ve never had an mri.
They don’t go in
Anyone who has a suspected stroke - if they have a pacemaker- they can’t go in until they find out there’s no metal in the pacemaker
The M in MRI is magnet
This guy barged in. Prob high or something
“”(MRI) room while the scan was in progress,””
Wouldn’t that mean there was already a patient on the MRI table if the scan was in progress? HOW would anyone else get near it?
The operator is off to the side in another room as I recall from having one years ago. Not paying attention?
Is the MRI’s middle name “Wayne”?
I remember I had to take my earrings off when I had an MRI.
Long before MRI there was NMR. I used one daily to analyze chemical samples. Every once in a great while, someone would forget to remove keys from their pockets. The keys would fly out of their pocket and pierce the outer core of the magnet, releasing gallons of liquid nitrogen and helium, effectively displacing all oxygen in the room, causing suffocation.
So you’re no doubt also know about magnetic induction and eddy currents, which will not be as traumatic as ferromagnetic materials but pose a danger from heating in the strong RF fields that are essential to how MRI works.
That’s why they say “no metallic objects” and don’t leave it to the patient to decide what is safe. There are MRI safe materials but the operator must be aware of implants, pacemakers, etc.
You didn’t read the article close enough. He wasn’t getting an MRI. He walked in to a room where there was an MRI in progress as result of wearing some type of metal chain around his neck. He probably ended up pinned to the MRI machine and was being strangled.
obviously, the room’s fault.
First thing I noticed. Today’s Journalists are almost illiterate
But their Marxist ideology is too shelf !
Academia assures it
Now move the airport metal detector where it might actually save a life !
No mri for you!
“Why should she be hysterical?”
Well most women are not like you when it comes to a hard heart.
That is incredible.
