I have been friends with both Jews (many, being from Connecticut and going to school at U of C), and a couple of people whose describe their lineage as Palestinean and whose family had residency or generational farms in the region.

I am open to hearing multiple sides, but the Palestineans have to be the worst spokespeople for their own cause, and the barbaric 10/07 attack CANNOT be excused or ignored.

I am of the mind that land gets exchanged in war. England wound up with the territory after WWI as the Ottoman Empire lost it. As England's possession, England had the right to cede the territory to form Israel.

Some folks with beefs from long ago may want to fight a war to get it back. Israel wants to fight to keep it.

But there is a way to fight, and a way NOT to fight. October 7 was so far out of bounds, that kind of atrocity must be stomped on, so Israel has my support in taking care of business.

I have no Palestinian friends, but there is literally no need to ask one about the situation. Simply look at the Middle East, and how those nations all behave regarding Palestinians. Only Israel allows them to even enter their nation. Many have actively ejected their Palestinian populations, including Iraq, Syria, Egypt, and Kuwait. All cited political agitation and violence as the reason.

Why would I want the response of some college kid or some political activist about a situation that has been responded to, very consistently, by many other nations that even share their faith and culture?? Watch what people DO, not what they SAY.
