US President Donald Trump has said Attorney General Pam Bondi should release "whatever she thinks is credible" on late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as he faces a rare backlash from supporters after seeking to draw a line under the case. Bondi has been lambasted by some of Trump's political base after her department recently said there was no evidence that Epstein kept a "client list". This appeared to contradict her previous statements, and those of other Trump allies who have previously called for the release of more information on Epstein. Trump also said on Tuesday he did not understand "what the interest or what the fascination is" with the case. He earlier offered a defence of Bondi.
"She's handled it very well, and it's going to be up to her," he told reporters. "Whatever she thinks is credible, she should release." When asked by a journalist if the attorney general had told Trump whether his name appeared in any of the records, he said: "No, no." During his later comments, the president questioned the enduring fascination with the Epstein case, calling it "sordid but boring". "Only really bad people, including the fake news, want to keep something like this going," Trump said.

If he'd done this from the start, that would absolve him of a lot of criticism and put the ball squarely in Bondi's court.

Bondi is\has been doing what her Boss is telling her to do, nothing more as she takes her orders from Trump.
I do not have a problem with Bondi (DoJ); same as, I did not have a problem with Noem (DHS). And, I believe that both President Trump and AG Bondi are focused upon establishing thorough cases.
Focus should be on the federal and state judges, government attorneys, others in law enforcement - AND federal and state members of legislatures - all who knew about Epstein & Gal (and other venues) who took steps to impede investigations and derail prosecutions.
Particularly in and around The Southern District of New York (”SDNY”).

Why people do not simply trust Trump and get back to what they’re doing in life I do not know. The Founders planned for us to be about the business God put each of us here for and that was not to follow corrupt politicians

And wasn’t charged again in Florida until right after Bondi left office even though she had a ton of evidence to work with as AG.
Let us decide for ourselves what is credible. Bondi can certainly weigh-in on the credibility issues— after the files are released. If Bondi believes that the release of a particular document would be harmful, perhaps due to Democrat trickery, she can describe the document in general terms and have the issue decided by a neutral panel.
I hope the President doesn’t allow this un-important case ruin the marvelous record he has in MAGA.
The AG must reveal all she has about Epstein and let the chips fall where they fall - giving hr opinion as to the reliability of the sources.

This interview was given BEFORE his broad emotional outburst on Truth Social aimed at “supporters” which is a little difficult to specify who exactly he is talking about.
But a which a lot of MAGA folk have taken offense with.
As far as I know, the AG has been looking at this for months. The files were on her desk. Then they were supplemented by additional files from an FBI office. They’ve been reviewing and redacting for months and months. Then (for whatever reason) they decided not to release anything.
At this point, if the president says “release what is credible” they should release what they feel is appropriate or flat out say “Absolutely none of this is credible”.
What they should NOT do is say, “We will begin a process and get back to you in 6 months.”
