Core CPI up just 0.2%. But, year-ago comparisons are tough and the year-over-year “core” rose slightly to 2.9%. Better to look at 3-month annualized changes. The 3-month annualized increase was just 2.4%, down from 3.6% in February. Tariffs don’t cause inflation. Follow M2.

Because those are the months Trump, and only Trump, was in office.
The Trump team is making all the right moves
They are focusing like a laser beam on root causes and they are systematically addressing the root causes in a carefully phased in manner that provides maximum positive economic impact while avoiding unintended economic and political consequence’s from cutting too much, too fast in the wrong places

Two bit writer, literally, says world’s wealthiest that found a trillion in waste, doesn’t know current inflation levels.
I detest sychophants. Write on something useful.
Did people claim tariffs would cause inflation?
If Americans purchase imported products or domestic products made with components subject to tariffs, prices for those products will rise. The market for the specific product will allow the price of the same non tariffed product to rise.
So far, there is only the across the board 10% tariffs that are a matter of concern. Some consideration for all the others will eventually be worked out. Lots of applecarts have been turned over. It is going to take a while to gather up all the spilled apples.
The current published inflation number does not reflect tariffs because the effect of tariffs lags the current number.
Well, so far most of Trump’s reform has not been implemented . The BBB was passed just now.
There are predictions, that Trump will balance the budget soon. (hopefully).
I’m all for strategic tariffs, but these sorts of numbers are seasonal and can’t well be cherry-picked without that in mind.
