It was announced on Sunday, July 13, that John MacArthur, 86, pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church (GCC) in Sun Valley, California, has contracted pneumonia and is expected to be in the presence of Jesus soon.

Just watched his interview with Ben Shapiro this morning. He did a wonderful job of explaining the Gospel to Ben!
Used to enjoy the sermons of Dr. D. James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries. He wasn’t timid about addressing the social ills of the modern culture. The other TV pastor I miss is Rev. John Hill, Greenville, NC. Not widely known but he was a warrior in the pulpit. We had a few conversations on the phone too. Considered moving to NC for to be my pastor. May both these great men enjoy their eternal rewards.
The MacArthur Study Bible is far away the best study Bible ever. Tremendous amount of notes. I urge everyone here to get a copy it comesin a couple of different translations.

I saw a video on FB today that I assume was recorded by one of the clergy at his church stating the same. I’m a Catholic but enjoy listening to him on the radio & tying together Old & New Testament teachings.
His teaching helped my husband and myself back in 2021 during the covid scam. Our sending agency told us that we could not return to the mission field where we’ve served since 1995 unless we took the poison shot. We spent long hours in prayer over this. Then, in one of GCC’s Q&A sessions, MacArthur said something like, “I’d take the shot and go overseas. God is bigger than the poison.” We’re back overseas even now—at least the husband is. I’m in the US for medical treatment. I hope to return soon.
God bless him and keep him, but since he’s a Calvinist, I won’t be using his study Bible.
Very sad, but he will be welcomed into the arms of his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. 👍🏻👍🏻
