What if they decide to have a war. Will lead still be banned?

"France isn’t near that bad."

If you say so. I just watched Macron getting slapped upside the face by his wife in the opening of their plane. He was not only startled but looked fearful. Then he saw the cameras and did his phony Clinton smile like he did at Foster's funeral. Remember that?

I don't know which country has let in the most Islamists, but I think they are tied at the least. Interestingly, a few Scandinavian nations are starting to deport their Islamists.

They can do that because they haven't take control of the political institutions the way they have in the UK.

I was talking about France’s gun laws. They are shitty but not near as bad as England which are probably the worst in the civilized world.

Fair enough. Yes, the Brits have gone insane with their gun laws. Unless SWAT, most British police don't even carry. And they wonder why there are so many stabbings and rapes and murders. Great Britain is no longer great and I consider a lose for the free world.

Nasty stuff. Metallic lead is not much of a toxin.

This makes hunting much more expensive for ordinary folk.

Not many hunting loads for airguns, either.

Not before being used to grind food in their gizzards. Lead is a real problem for birds.

It’s enough to make me wonder why depleted uranium (18.95) is used when tungsten (19.15) is actually heavier.

two possible reasons: depleted uranium isn’t as useful as tungsten so possibly cost. And second a uranium rod hitting armor at 1500m/sec self sharpens as the tip shears away while tungsten under the same circumstances mushrooms out. I’d guess the second reason may be more relevant.

Uranium is pyrophoric. Tungsten is not.

A uranium projectile sharpens itself as it penetrates armour. A tungsten projectile mushrooms slightly while penetrating armour.

Thus, even though tungsten is more dense, uranium makes a better armour piercing projectile.

“Steel core AP bullets should be OK?”
____________________________________________________________

Only if they’re frangible bullets, which are being required at more ranges all the time.

If you’ve ever had to clean out a range filled with compacted lead, you’d want them too.

A foreign substance, tungsten, is introduced into our precious buckshot pellets without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That’s the way your hard-core Commie works.

Well, yes, we do know DU is toxic, radioactive, should be avoided at all costs and probably belongs in a deep pit miles underground where it can’t interact with the natural environment at all.

Oh, wait... you’re talking about depleted uranium. :-D
