One officer said the teen's alleged conduct was the worst he had seen in his entire 39-year career. Ateenager is being accused of numerous acts of heinous sexual assault on a 7-year-old while they both were passengers on a school bus for students with special needs in central Indiana.
Prosecutors allege that 15-year-old Landon Doty raped the younger student several times while other students were on the bus.

what about the bus driver?!
Isn’t there anyone that is empowered to supervise these kids?
What a sick freak.
FYI to those who will skip the YouTube link, the victim was a 7-year-old boy.
Wood chipper.
The driver cannot be held responsible. Perhaps the school or the bus company that contracts the service can for not providing supervision.
The driver must pay full attention to the road. He cannot also watch behind him and monitor the activities of over 50 children.
I’m not armchair quarterbacking here. I have hundreds of hours of bus driving with children under my belt. Your concentration is 100% ahead of you watching other vehicles and constantly adapting to conditions, especially in bad weather or at night.
That said, this piece of human debris is in for a real surprise when he gets to prison. I hope he’s only there for a short time.
Know a retired school bus driver. He talked about strict rules such as the little kids always liked him and wanted to come up and hug him. The rule was he had to put his arms straight outward horizontally and not touch anyone.
He was totally responsible for the safe arrival of all the kids including not dropping someone off at a new place without a parent arranging it.
This is a disgraceful story of neglect of duty.
Thanks....that helps.
“what about the bus driver?!”
I will pass on the driver. There was an aide on the bus to watch over the kids.
“Isn’t there anyone that is empowered to supervise these kids?”
What is the dude’s history. I bet it is loaded and they allowed him on the bus with handicapped person eight years his junior.
Just the way it is.

Sad in any case that no one intervened.
“Sad in any case that no one intervened.”
Sad that the system even allowed the possibility of this happening.
I bet the 15 you has a string of offenses and he is on a bus with a handicap 8 years his junior a my guess half his size.
To quick acid dip hand then foot then baster for assorted spots.
He’ll get the idea what fear the child knew.

Retired public school teacher here. One day we had a meeting (mandatory) where a lawyer from the school board talked to us.
He made it very clear. If you get sued by a student after breaking up a fight, you are on entirely your own. The district will not defend you or support you.
That didn’t stop most of us. But I can see where it would make some folks think twice.
An addition to my post #6:
Here’s an example. A fellow teacher broke up a vicious fight between two girls. One big girl (a bully)was beating the crap out of a smaller girl.
My colleague broke it up. The bully sued the teacher for bogus “inappropriate touching” during the fight. Fortunately the principal talked the bully’s parents into dropping the lawsuit.
But it easily could have gone the other way. And the teacher would have had to absorb all his legal costs on his own.
An addition to my post #16, not post #6.
Preferably feet first.
VERY sad!
