Bill O’Reilly Claims Trump Told Him the Reason Why the Epstein Files Will Not Be Released

Former primetime Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has claimed in a recent interview with Chris Cuomo that President Trump explained his rationale to him for why the Epstein Files must not be released.

In the interview with News Nation, Cuomo asked O’Reilly what his view was on the Trump administration’s “botched” Epstein file rollout.

O’Reilly responded, “I talked to President Trump, man-to-man, eye-to-eye, on St. Patrick’s Day about this. And he said, ‘There are a lot of names associated with Epstein that had nothing to do with Epstein’s conduct.”

O’Reilly added, “They maybe had lunch with them or maybe had some correspondence for one thing or another.”

“Those people are destroyed, because there’s not going to be any context. The media doesn’t care about context, so you can’t do that. You can’t destroy a human being by putting out the files, whatever they may be,” concluded O’Reilly.

Per The Hill:

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly said he discussed the Jeffrey Epstein case in March with President Trump, who told him there are “a lot of names associated” with the disgraced financier for innocuous reasons.

“I talked to President Trump, man-to-man, eye-to-eye, on St. Patrick’s Day about this. … And he said — and I agree — ‘There are a lot of names associated with Epstein that had nothing to do with Epstein’s conduct,’” O’Reilly said Wednesday during an appearance on NewsNation’s “Cuomo.”

“They maybe had lunch with them or maybe had some correspondence for one thing or another,” he told host Chris Cuomo.“If that name gets out,” O’Reilly continued, “those people are destroyed, because there’s not going to be any context. Media doesn’t care about context, so, you can’t do that. You can’t destroy a human being by putting out the files, whatever they may be.”

O’Reilly’s claims are very similar to what Trump shared in an interview with Fox News before being elected.

When Fox & Friends hosts asked if he planned to release the JFK files, he clearly responded, “Yes.”

However, when they asked if he planned to release the Epstein files, he said “Yeah” but added “That less so, because you don’t want to affect people’s lives if there’s phony stuff in there.”

If this is true, Trump needs to say so and not sit back and watch Pam Bondi lie about there not being a client list.

Ok, then who’s in all the tens of thousands of hours of blackmail porn films? Well....?

I am sure the innocent stuff is part of the files.

That does not explain the rest of it.

O’Reilly got played.

I think Trump will sit back and wait it out, hoping this will pass. Bondi may have to be sacrificed, but she was just doing what her boss told her to do.

And why can’t they give the names of the perverts they have on a video abusing an under-aged youth?

About 90% of what is messed up about America is that its citizens still give ear to the completely discredited and corrupt news media. It is an intractable problem.

This sounds like a mealy-mouth excuse, not a rational explanation. President Trump not only needs to address this in a nationwide press conference, but also state that while not releasing the names in order to protect innocent individuals, but all will be investigated by the FBI in order to determine and/or clear individuals of charges of child and/or sex trafficking.

We know that Epstein tried to connect with important people who brushed him off. There’s a series of photos out there of Ghislaine Maxwell trying to get her photo taken by the paparazzi with JFK Jr. at some social event and him literally running from her. But it seems pretty easy to figure out who just had dinner with or went to a party with Epstein and who took advantage of what he was offering.

If Trump really wanted to.

Trump didn’t say there’s a client list. What Reilly claims he said is not about a client list.

Bondi is not good in front of a microphone, she sounds like a school kid reading a report to the class.
I hope she’s a better prosecutor

Spoken like a man whose name is in the files as Musk indicated.

I am sure there are innocent people whose lives might go off the rails with a revelation.

HOWEVER, there should be a way to address this. EXPLAIN WHY NO ONE HAS BEEN PROSECUTED

There is nothing that Trump could say that would bring this to a close. I’ve said this myself.

Without corroborating evidence, being on a list means nothing. Epstein collected names and numbers like trophies. If he got your name and number, and you were a known person, you were going to be his list.

I’ve said that myself and those who want the list released remain convinced that being on the list automatically means you went to the island and had sex with children.

I thought so.

The best part of having a list is that anyone can be on it, and the mere presence of a name is itself a blackmail and mutually assured destruction.

Makes sense that he killed himself if that was it. I could believe it was out of a sense of revenge in that case.

For the most part, what Trump is claimed to have stated sounds believable. But the public still needs the issue to be directly addressed by the president, at some point, so that we can move on and stop inventing rationale.

Yes, if you are photographed sitting in Queen Elizabeth’s chair there might be reason to believe there is a close connection to someone.

Dershowitz knows but has to get around the confidentiality issue.

I would say he is pissed about what is taking place right now.

Matt Gaetz is probably doing high fives thinking about what would have happened if he had become Attorney General and had to deal with this mess.

Sometimes you don’t want what you think you want.

Lol.

A list of people they’re pursuing charges against would probably good enough.

A full list of his “contacts” can easily be footnoted to indicate innocuous meetings, such as when he met Trump.
