As the flood in Texas continues, the Austin fire chief Joel Baker has been accused of delaying help for Kerr County during this dire situation. He faced a 'No Confidence' vote against him by the Austin firefighters union due to his delayed response.
The Austin Firefighters Association posted about Baker on their Facebook page, calling it "absolutely outrageous" and an "egregious dereliction of duty" and calling for Baker to be held accountable.
AFA says that on Tuesday, July 8, Austin firefighters plan to start a vote of no confidence on Baker.
The Austin Fire Department responded to the accusation with a statement, saying:
"The weather this weekend devastated the entire region, and the Austin Fire Department is proud to be part of the response effort.
AFD did not comment on the planned vote of no confidence for Chief Baker.
Austin City Manager T.C. Broadnax issued a statement on the accusations, saying:
"It is disappointing that the Firefighters Association would make these allegations and consider such a vote, especially while these communities continue to grieve and recover."
LiveNOW's Andy Mac is joined by the President of the Austin Firefighter's Association Bob Nicks to talk about this situation.
At least 104 people are dead as a result of the flooding in Central Texas. Most of those deaths happened in Kerr County, where at least 84 people have died, including 28 children.
At least 10 girls and a counselor from Camp Mystic are still missing.

DEI makes people DIE.
D-E-I makes people DIE /
Merit hiring lifts them high.
Sound off...
Another important point is that all of those white children were members of Christian churches ....
The fireman said that he stalled because he didn’t understand what a certain word meant. IIRC, it was “reimbursement”. Yes; he IS that stupid.
That was my first thought. The black fire chief has/had an attitude toward white kids.
Hope he has a miserable end.
IF it were the other way around the media would be calling for his head.
I view his actions as accessory to manslaughter.
He needs to be criminally charged. .
“He needs to be criminally charged.”
I think the men under him agree.
“I view his actions as accessory to manslaughter.
“He needs to be criminally charged.”
When things settle down, I have a feeling there will be tons of civil suits by families of the deceased. This DEI retard will probably be sued. Also, the city or county that voted down installing emergency siren warning system probably could be, too.
The fireman guy, though ... criminally charged, as you say.
