Two Nevadans have pled guilty in Minnesota voter fraud case

The second of two defendants from Nevada who were charged in Minnesota with conspiracy to commit voter registration fraud pleaded guilty Tuesday, federal prosecutors announced.

Ronnie Williams, 58, entered his plea before US District Judge Laura Provinzino in St. Paul. Court records don't say whether there was a formal plea agreement.

Williams & Combs allegedly generated fictitious names and other data they used to fill out Minnesota voter registration forms in 2021 and 2022. The charging documents filed last month say Williams provided the completed forms to an entity that sought to register voters in Minnesota, which is identified only as “Foundation 1,” that paid him, then split the proceeds with Combs.

“Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our democracy," Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson said in a statement. "Any attempt to undermine that process through fraud will be investigated and prosecuted. This case sends a clear message—election fraud will not be tolerated in Minnesota.”

Williams' co-defendant, Lorraine Lee Combs, 57, pleaded guilty June 24. Federal sentencing guidelines recommend a sentence of zero to six months in prison, with one to three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $20,000.

The actual sentences will be determined by the judge. The charges carry statutory maximums of five years in prison. Sentencing dates have not been set. Both defendants will remain free in the meantime.

A surprisingly fact-free article provided via AP. I looked and didn't find much about Lorraine Lee Combs or Ronnie Williams' affiliations. I couldn't find anything on Foundation 1 either.

There's an interesting, gratuitous addition to the story:

"While voter fraud does happen occasionally, the country's processes provide many safeguards that generally keep it detectable and rare. When it happens, it tends to get caught and prosecuted?

What makes them think that is true?

Mr. Unique, I caught that, too. Thre is not one fact in the article related to this assertion. It is just the plain opinion of the liberal author of this piece.

No matter how much you hate the media, it is never enough.

Not true. In Minnesota, mostly Minneapolistan, anybody can vote. No id required. No proof of anything required. You can bring up to eight people with you to vote and vouch for them. If you work at a homeless shelter you can bring as many as you want. This info is all available on the Minnesota Secretary of State website under election laws. I am really shocked that they caught someone and even more shocked they were charged.

This being a Minnesota prosecution I just assumed from the get-go that those charged would be Republicans.

We all know why party affiliations and foundation names are omitted. Had the trail led to a conservative or Republican affiliation, it would have been mentioned dozens of times in this article with follow-up articles on the foundations that would name as many people and connections as possible in order to cast dishonor on as many as possible.

Shouldn't anyone convicted of such a crime be stripped of their right to vote permanently and by law, forbidden from volunteering for any election-related government service or being employed in any government position that has any responsibility for elections? Seems reasonable to me. I don't know if the law currently does that.

It is a Federal case which is now controlled by Trump. I expect he replaced the zombies with a proper US attorney that maybe didn’t ignore it. It seems as though this is a recent charge...””The charging documents filed last month say Williams provided the completed forms.....””

I could be wrong as I haven’t done any research. It just seems odd that election fraud would get prosecuted here.

It’s a Federal prosecution, though.

Plus, the AP would have highlighted their affiliations...I assume in my biased noggin.

Another notch in Jay Valentine’s belt. He invented Fractal which identifies fraudulent addresses in real time. Minnesota was the test state. When Valentine used Fractal in Minnesota it identifies 170,000 -7% of all voter registrations as fakes. Fractal was why we won in the Battleground states where it was used daily for months and the commies could never get ahead of it. Fractal is real, Fractal won us 2024 and Fractal cannot be circumvented.

“””When Valentine used Fractal in Minnesota it identifies 170,000 -7% of all voter registrations as fakes.”””

That is good news. I don’t know how it works here in Minnesota where you can use the address of the nearest park bench on your registration, though.

http://www.sos.mn.gov/elections-voting/register-to-vote

I’m homeless

If you are homeless, you can register to vote using the location of where you sleep as your address. You may need to go to the polling place with someone (see details below) who can confirm where you are living.

When you register to vote, you must provide your current residence. This is the place where you sleep, so if you sleep in a shelter, at a friend’s house, or outside somewhere, that is your voting residence.

If you sleep outside, write a description of its location on line four of your voter registration application. For example, “In the NW corner of Jefferson Park near the intersection of Winston Ave. and Smith St.”
