At the top of Yosemite National Park’s Vernal Fall on a recent holiday weekend, amid the throngs of tourists snapping photos and feasting on snacks and picnic lunches, a squirrel crept across smooth granite toward a resting backpacker.

There were no rangers around to educate the visitors about the problems with feeding wildlife, which wasn’t surprising. Since the Trump administration began its campaign to downsize the federal government in January, the National Park Service has lost nearly a quarter of its employees, and those left behind are doing multiple jobs to cover for their departed colleagues.

Aggressive squirrels! It’s Trump’s fault!

Put up a sign, we don't need to pay someone $70,000 to "educate" visitors.

How about looking at the signs all over the park saying, “Do not feed the wildlife?” It’s not Trump’s fault people FA then FO.

The liberal dummies lost an opportunity here. They should have blamed Trump AND climate change.

Ni, President Trump is trying to educate dummies about free feeding other non desirables, like illegals.

I was gonna say, this year’s Democratic National Convention was held at Yosemite?

Well, at least they can blow off some steam

I see they use “rodents” when describing squirrels. Accurate but it sounds like a rat infestation. Anyway, we have no pact with the squirrels.

I would stay away on Lemming Weekend, though.

I camped there with some motorcycle buddies 30 years ago. Was shocked at how tame the squirrels were. They would crawl up in your lap to get your lunch.

People who need signs about “Don’t Feed the Wild Life” need instructions on shampoo bottles and vote for AOC types. There’s no cure for it.

The media AGAIN is trying to subtly control the narrative.

“Squirrels are on the attack! We need more rangers. Oh, an by the way, didn’t Trump cut the staff of government staff? See, vote for Democrats, they care about safety!”
The left wing media are disgusting. Lower then the aggressive squirrels.
This kind of soft brainwashing and gaslighting is going to keep on going. The Democratic party and it’s idiotic mindset needs to be utterly destroyed.

The leftist activist media has made it a form of art, they are quite good at it.

I’ve been to Yosemite many times. Stupid people always want to feed the poor forest creatures. They let their kids give trail mix and bits of their peanut butter sandwiches to the chipmunks. I saw one family feeding raccoons years ago. The stupid people have been doing it since the park opened. Complaining that there weren’t rangers around to warn them is a backhanded attack on Donald Trump for DOGEing the park service. Let me tell you, you can tell people all you want about feeding the animals and they will still do it. The way to prevent it is to only let members of the Sierra Club into the park.

These squirrels were here long before those humans, and now their territory is being invaded! Yet the humans have the temerity to complain when the native inhabitants engage in aggressive behaviors. I think the best course of action is for these ultra-liberal cry-babies to stay in the hell-hole cities they created and out of the more natural environs like Yosemite.
