The Texas Hill Country River Ghouls Must Be Condemned
The American Spectator ^ | July 7, 2025, 10:04 PM | Scott McKay

Exploiting the deaths of innocents to make your political argument is evil.

We go through this virtually every time some tragedy hits. I don’t know about you, but I’m absolutely sick of it. And after what happened in the Texas Hill Country over the July 4 weekend, in which flash flooding claimed a death toll of at least 80 and probably more than 100, many of them children who were at summer camps along the suddenly swollen Guadalupe River, the epidemic of ghoulish behavior among the talking heads and operatives of the Democrat Party and the Left has gone entirely off the rails.

What they want you to believe, in a fashion directly related to the immediate cries for infringement on your gun rights every time some deranged creep loses his cool and conducts a mass shooting, is that the hill country flash floods are President Trump’s fault. Why this is purportedly so is an exercise in magical thinking — the logic is little better than that MAGA has insulted the weather gods, and thus the children have suffered.

And some of it is even worse than that. As the victims of the hill country flooding are mostly white conservatives, some of the river ghouls are having notable difficulty summoning up much sympathy for the dead and their families.

The woman posting that last bit is a pediatrician from Houston who got herself rightly fired from the doctor’s office where she worked.

I’m going to try to steer clear of most of that bile. It isn’t healthy to spend much time inside the heads of loons who are that irrationally hateful toward innocent people they’ve never even met. Suffice it to say that when your life is not spent trying to get into heaven, either...

These people are sick.

FEMA always makes emergencies worse than they are.

So does the communist press.

The biggest takeaway from this national discussion is that liberalism discredits itself.

At its core, liberalism is defined by a moral code that even the vast majority of liberals will condemn when you sit them down and have a serious discussion about it.

Give them the Alex Jones treatment. Find any creative way possible to sue them civilly and make them face a judgment in the amount of a small nation’s entire GDP.

It appears she was calling the camps “RA-A-A-CIS” as they had White kids in them. Sounds like she wishes Black kids had been drowned for “diversity.” Had that happened she would be screaming “RA-A-ACISM!” because the rescuers did not save all the black kids first.
No winning with these people.

Agreed but when “private” institutions (like insurance companies) and federalism (state and local leadership) fail or corrupt, that’s what makes the ground ripe for these socialistic impulses. (Like people calling for universal healthcare or in this case, nationalized bureaucratic emergency response.)

..As the victims of the hill country flooding are mostly white conservatives..

I wouldn't bet on that. I have a friend that lives in Kerr county, and he jokingly told me that you could hold the monthly local republican party meeting with four tables in the corner of the local Denneys. The area has become VERY purple.

I totally agree.......I had it out with a bunch of them earlier. How DARE they politicalize this tragedy! The Hill country has always had these flash floods but good grief 3:30 in the morning??? Perhaps there was a flash flood warning way before bedtime but that doesn’t give anyone the right to say it could have been prevented if the authorities had heeded global warming crap or whatever the left is spouting about! They will have investigations as to how to prevent this in the future but in the meantime STHUP! We still have grieving families waiting and praying for their loved ones to be found one way or the other.

I don’t suppose Mrzz.Christina actually went there to help (might get terminal dirty hands) or donated any $$ to the victims?

Thanks for the post of the 2021 screenshot.
This 'Pediatrician's' remarks about the lost children and grieving families were truly heinous and evil, but I see from the 2021 post she's always had a black heart (at least since 2021).
The last person I'd want treating children. Hopefully her license to practice is revoked.

Well, investigations are not a problem. Like when a murder happens, the cops investigate.

In this case, what should be investigated is the cloud seeding. It should start now, when the urgency is utmost.

But you’re right about not politicizing it.

That Pediatrician is nuttier than squirrel poop... but Rosie O'Donut said Trump's fault, because he signed the BBB.

I knew Trump was great, but a flash flood during the bill signing. He must have acquired Dick Cheney's weather machine.

Wasn’t it Rosie O’Donnel who claimed the World Trade Center building collapse to be “The first time fire melted steel”?
