Zelensky described the conversation with the US leader as "very important and useful"
MOSCOW, July 4. /TASS/. Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky discussed air defense and the situation on the front line with US President Donald Trump amid reports about a pause in Washington’s weapons supplies to Kiev.
"We discussed air defense opportunities and agreed to work toward increasing the protection of the skies. And we agreed to hold a corresponding meeting between our teams," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel following a phone call with Trump.
Zelensky described the conversation as "very important and useful" and said that Trump "is very well informed" about the situation on the front line. According to Zelensky, they also discussed "mutual purchases and investments." "We exchanged opinions on the diplomatic situation and joint work with America and other partners," Zelensky added. Also, Kiev expressed readiness for joint projects in the production of weapons, including drones, with Washington.
On July 2, The New York Times reported that the United States will halt the delivery of interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense system, GMLRS precision-guided munitions, Hellfire guided missiles, Stinger man-portable missile systems, and some other weapons to Ukraine. On Wednesday, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry summoned US Charge d’Affaires John Ginkel following reports that Washington suspended deliveries of some weapons to Kiev.
On July 3, Zelensky said that he expects the United States to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine as Europe is unable to fully replace these deliveries, particularly when it comes to air defense systems and missiles for them. Later, Trump said that Washington continues to provide military aid to Kiev, but does so on the assumption that the United States itself needs these weapons.

He’s lying.
Unable or unwilling?
Ukie pilots don't speak English...See all them dials in the cockpit...
Here he says Trump is well informed.
TASS just repeating what Zelensky claims. Odd.
Ukraine has been saturated by record amounts of Vlad’s missiles ( the West says Vlad will be out any day now), …..the Kiev strike on 4 July was historic…
( St Z says 599/600 were shot down)….onward to the last Ukrainian.
Plenty of video out ( not on western MSM) showing SW Kiev on fire, inhabitants wearing masks because of all the smoke.
Z: “I need weapons for thousands of troops!”
Trump: “Best I can do is a couple of HIMARs, we’re out of everything else.”
11 missiles is a record? 500+ drones though, THAT may be a record.
If Western mainstream media outlets wanted to engender sympathy for citizen noncombatants of Ukraine being killed by long-range bombs, they would certainly broadcast those images.
Conversely, if the media does not want to encourage support for Ukraine they would withhold those images.
To whom? Trump said:
Later, Trump said that Washington continues to provide military aid to Kiev, but does so on the assumption that the United States itself needs these weapons.
The original press release was issued by a long time opponent of the war in Ukraine and was apparently done without consultation with the White House, the Secretary of Defense, or the Secretary of State acting as National Security Advisor. President Trump is walking back the statement.
Zelinski was clearly not lying on July 3 when he said he expects, "the United States to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine."
If Trump was lying, he is playing with both sides. Meanwhile, this dithering only encourages Russia and makes Putin even more intractable as witnessed by this recent telephone conference with Trump. It is time the United States got in line with its European allies, got in line with its long-standing commitment to its ally Ukraine, and pushed the sanctions that will cut off Russia's oil revenues and bring an end to the war.
You are correct, the missiles ( Iskanders , Zircons, etc) all reached their high value targets….decimating them….point being Ukraine can no longer counter Vlads massive attacks from the air.
Foreign news sites, Indian, non west aligned others have shown many video tours of Russia’s drone facilities- massive production measured in weeks, not months or years, hence the daily Ukie pounding.
Their production is beyond astounding 24/7.
pushed the sanctions that will cut off Russia’s oil revenues and bring an end to the war.

Laughable and unattainable….India, China, Africa all have increased their buying, and at discounted rates. Fact is Vlad is generating income, while the West goes further in debt.
A teenager with a calculator can figure out the basic math.
India, as the recent negotiations over trade reveal, is very anxious to trade with America and would be undoubtedly willing to accommodate us on oil embargoes as part of the deal.
As soon Mr. Trump publicly states that American policy is support Ukraine and that Mr. to compute in Likewise, pressure should be put on Europe to join in on serious sanctions instead of this sham.
As and when Donald Trump declares an intention to support Ukraine, we will find it universally expressed on these threads that Ukraine is a land of heroes and Putin is the devil incarnate.
/sarcasm
“Fact is Vlad is generating income, while the West goes further in debt.”
Generating income by robbing Russia’s pension fund. All the gold and currency certificates gone.
The gravy train has ended. The oligarchs are restless.
Their economy is tanking.
“A teenager with a calculator can figure out the basic math.”
Unfortunately, Socrates can’t.
Thanks, great info. We are sending HIMARs but it doesn’t sound like they will be enough, they don’t seem to last very long, they are probably hard to hide and protect.
I don’t see any path to victory or stalemate for Ukraine. Putin is adding troops as well as weapons, Ukraine has no way to keep up with either.
Thank you for the compliment. I don't get all that many since I got busted for securities fraud after m7 ponzi scheme collapsed. I don't know what all the fuss was about. My client's only lost $700,000,000.
“I don’t see any path to victory or stalemate for Ukraine. “
Russia is going broke. Putin has been robbing their pension fund to pay for his two week war.
That fund has been depleted.
Oligarchs are unhappy about reduced income due to sanctions.
Putin cannot afford to extend the war.
