Sometimes, the best way to demonstrate the dangers of electing certain candidates to higher office is by letting them speak for themselves.
Zohran Mamdani, the presumptive Democrat mayoral nominee for New York City, is one of those people.
While the New York Assemblyman has been presented as the “relatable” socialist (as if there is such a thing) despite his racist, antisemitic, and anti-American tendencies – and smooth-talked his way ahead of former NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo in both the polls and the primary, statements he’s made over the years and stances that he’s taken paint quite a different picture.

Irrelevant. Mamdani is cool, he’s muslim, (which appeals to the virtue signalers on the left), and the media loves him. I fully expect this guy to be elected mayor.

This reminds me of the 18th Century Anglo-Irish philosopher George Berkeley who denied any physical reality, saying every physical thing is imaginary and immaterial. He had quite the stylish, “intellectual” following. Samuel Johnson destroyed him with ridicule. Johnson soundly kicked a large stone, saying, “Thus I refute Bishop Berkeley.”
This kind of magical thinking is popular with college sophomores and others believing themselves to have superior intellect. DemocRats, for example.

Interesting how this guy ignores the reality of the consequences of his words opening the door to justifying violence from one side without accepting that the other side can rightly use that same justification according to his own words. What this man is effectively doing is laying a foundation for civil war. Does no one else see that?

(My niece, when in college, wrote an essay advancing this tripe. We discussed it. I pointed out that the races are quite easily discerned from each other because of physiological differences. And noted that only blacks can develop sickle cell anemia. We agreed that a disease was not a social construct. She’d never heard that, and then changed her mind. “But then why does everyone say it’s just a social construct?” I advised that the answer to THAT question was for her to discover on her own...)
