Russia's economy just flashed warning signs about manufacturing and employment

Russia's wartime economy may finally be losing steam, fresh data shows.

In June, Russia's manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index, or PMI, sank to 47.5 — its sharpest pace of contraction since March 2022, according to S&P Global.

This was a reversal from the PMI of 50.2 in May, when Russia's manufacturing activity expanded.

The results from the latest S&P Global manufacturing PMI survey are a contrast against the resilience that Russia's economy has been projecting over the last few years.

Russia appears to have avoided an economic collapse since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. But many analysts have said its resilience isn't sustainable in the long run as it's fueled by wartime spending.

"It was growth on budgetary amphetamines," Alexander Kolyandr, a senior fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis, said at a briefing last month

The Russians are running out of tricks to prop up their failing economy. Will it continue to fail over time in a slow grind or collapse all at once?

Who knows?

But one thing is clear - Putin has led Russia into a disaster.

What an appropriate screen name for someone who is repeating euromuslofascist MI-6public school boy prank propaganda.

What it says says it all. “But many analysts have said its resilience isn’t sustainable in the long run as it’s fueled by wartime spending. It was growth on budgetary amphetamines,”

Now we were told that the economy collapsed within weeks of the initial invasion. Now we are told that the resilience is only possible because Putin has been printing money. This unsustainable economy has been sustaining itself for the entirety of the Biden budget spending spree, and what these idiot propogandists forget is that Russia is outproducing the west on military hardware.

How’s the potato famine doink?

“Russia is outproducing the west on military hardware.”

And then pissing it away faster than they can make it. And then going, hat in hand to China and Iran to cover their production shortfalls. And even that gets fed into the Ukranian meat grinder with alacrity.

P.S.-The items acquired from China and Iran means they’re hemorrhaging hard currency to pay for it.

This is in addition to Russia saying they will no longer collect census data in an effort to hide Russia’s devastating birthrate and population decline since 2022.”

“Russia launched their largest ever missile and drone strike on Ukrainian cities last night and sadly a Ukrainian F-16 and its pilot was lost last night.

Russia’s finance minister and central bank chief are sounding the alarm that Russia is heading for a sever economic recession unless conditions are changed.

Russia has been spending their financial reserves to support the war and soften the effects of Western sanctions for over three years now and can’t continue doing so.”

“Now we were told that the economy collapsed within weeks of the initial invasion. Now we are told that the resilience is only possible because Putin has been printing money...”

One can see a pattern in that the “Russia is going to Collapse!” propaganda really RAMPS UP when there’s other news going on, like the developments on the battlefield yesterday (lots of breakthroughs) and Hegseth finally getting the results of just how much Biden’s Women DEPLETED our military arsenals, due to their hormonal-hatred of Putin.

It’s just best for everyone to follow Trump’s lead and simply forget about Ukraine, Biden’s Women gave it their best, but the US has FAR MORE to worry about than the fact that Russia will be increasing its population by 10 million or so new Russians.

Trump has to sacrifice Ukraine for a number of reasons, one being Z’s really idiotic attack on Russia’s strategic forces I presume with a lot of help from oh say the UK. Now imagine a similar Russian drone attack on UK’s strategic forces. It wouldn’t take much to take UK out of the nuclear deterrence game, which they need to be taken out of anyway if they are going islamofascist. First they were a partnership threat because of the communists at high levels in UK and now...

” It wouldn’t take much to take UK out of the nuclear deterrence game, which they need to be taken out of anyway if they are going islamofascist. “

Tell me about it. South Africa did the world the HUGE FAVOR of dismantling their nuclear weapons before transitioning to tribal rule. Hopefully UK does the same, but if not, then us and Russia will likely have to do take care of it.

—”That would be a terrible thing..if Russia were a western economy”

Could you please explain how the fundamentals of the Russian economy differ from the West?

And how would the outcome be different?

“Could you please explain how the fundamentals of the Russian economy differ from the West?”

For one it’s not controlled by western establishment education blueprints that sets up Fiat money with debt as a means of control.
Second. Russia doesn’t worship money in the way that they do in western countries. They have profiteers, sure. But they don’t put the importance on money the west does.
Third Russia is not a debt driven economy, a thing people in the US should remember as their countries teeters on the brink of insolvency due to a breakdown in Trust in government institutions is that this time war isn’t going to pull your butts from the fire.
Forth Russia has raw materials, and not an interfering bureaucracy that sets up road block to fundamentals.
5th Russia has a self contained economy that doesn’t depend heavily on imports.

GDP is just a measuring stick certain hemispherical economists use to measure a certain dangley organ, because that way to measure makes theirs look bigger.

That is not my experience. The primary concern of the professional Russians visiting the US was their monetary reimbursement, per diem, etc.

Western thought , in the US in particular, is that money is both your shield and sword and solves all of life’s problems, if you only had enough of it.

Excellent points. Russia leads the world with over $ 75 Trillion in natural resources. They are self sufficient in just about every sector.

Throw in only a 17 percent debt to GDP, the U.S. 130 percent debt to GDP, the EU same same.

A ten year old with a calculator can tell you which one is unsustainable.
