The first six months of the Trump administration have not been kind to the experts and the degree-holding classes.
Almost daily during the tariff hysterias of March, we were told by university economists and most of the PhDs employed in investment and finance that the U.S. was headed toward a downward, if not recessionary, spiral.

Don’t forget all the “climatologists”.
These are all the same arrogant no-nothing experts/politicians that said back in 2015/2016 that Trump would never be president. Never happen!
They laughed about it daily. The professional pundits, talk show hosts, journalist, editorialist, and all the corrupt politicians were all DEAD wrong.
and never forget the self-proclaimed experts in public health, big med, and big science; herr faschi and company being at the top of the list.
Great point. One omission in an otherwise brilliant article.
American Greatness site is down.
But as we are now learning from long overdue autopsies of institutionalized campus racial bias, neo-racial segregation, 50-percent-plus price-gauging surcharges on federal grants, and rabid anti-Semitism, higher education in America has become anti-Enlightenment.
Ouch! That's a slap in the face to Big Academia who likes to think they're part of the "enlightenment movement".
Donald Trump drove the degreed class insane to the degree it could no longer, even if it were willing and able (and it was not), offer empirical assessments of his policies.
Another ouch! See tagline -- the Apostle Paul mirrored Aristotle's empiricism approach (though admittedly the context of 1st Thessalonians 5 is if someone claims to be a prophet, I tend to apply that teaching in virtually all situations). It could be said that VDH's statement is that Big Academia and Big Experts are taking us back to the antiquated, pre-empiricism days of operating more on religion than on testing, experience, logic and reason.
Everytime a pinhead wants to convince you, he self-proclaims his expertise/ability/morality.
How they do business and their office politics seem unprofessional to say the least. The unresponsiveness, misinformation, cancel culture cliques, unnecessary micromanagement, slavish to PC-Woke ideologies, double standards, nepotism, lying, cheating and stealing,...Yeah, “Get your degree and then we can talk”. Yeah, right.
1 Timothy 6:10 GNV
10 For the desire of money is the root of all evil, which while some lusted after they erred from the faith, and [a]pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
“Don’t forget all the “climatologists”.”
They’re actually not that far off at least here in Texas. They said it would be getting hotter for the past few months...and they have been proven right.
But the public has caught on that too many Ivy-League presidents were increasingly a mediocre, if not incompetent, bunch. Most university economists could not run a small business. The military academies did not always turn out the best generals and admirals. The most engaging biographers were not professors. And plumbers and electricians were usually more skilled in their trades than most journalist graduates were in their reporting.
This is a long article, and I link to the author's site Sword of Perseus for the rest of the long article. Very accurate and well worth your time to read!

Like someone forgot to renew the domain.
So many “experts” are “experts” at grifting money from various contracts they obtain that pay them for their “”opinions”. Mainly, they are “experts” at taking taxpayers for a ride.
Justice Clarence Thomas’s Wise Words About ‘Experts’
“...The [Biden] administration’s lawyers asserted that child transitioning had been endorsed by ‘numerous major medical organizations.’ Justice Thomas listed four reasons for disregarding such claims when deciding whether to uphold a state law....”
Hanson needs to publish a book of his columns from the past few years. It would be a snapshot of history as it has unfolded during the Trump era.
