NEW YORK -- The S&P 500 closed at an all-time record high on Friday afternoon, extending breakneck gains achieved in recent weeks as investors shrugged off concerns about newly imposed tariffs and war in the Middle East.
Despite stocks dipping slightly after President Donald Trump's announcement that the U.S. would end all trade talks with Canada, the S&P 500 recovered to close at a record high -- 6,173. Previously, the all-time high closing price was 6,144.

I know markets can change on a dime, but six months ago some on FR were saying that Trump was going to be a failure, and would post threads if the market had a bad day.

In related news, the democrats, Beltway bureaucracy, judiciary, and mass media outlets, are seeking Baghdad Bob’s, Jake Tappers, Don Lemons, anyone related even remotely to Josef Goebels, Dan Rather, Brian Williams, and Joy Reid, to bang at propaganda while wearing cheerleader outfits, because Donald Trump has pulled the center pole out of the circus tent called Network News.

“Investors”, educated ones, don’t “shrug off” such things; they are smart, experienced, and financially sophisticated - unlike “journolists”.

Panican-mania peaked with PDJT’s announcement of tariffs hardly three months ago.
Just stay in the stock market. Dollar cost average one’s way to wealth.

Why? I think we’re due for a take off. Summer fuel prices low, companies re-investing in America, Dems eating their own…glorious summer.

When Jobama got selected, I sold some stuff and left it in money market.
When Trump’s tariff news freaked out the market...I went on a spending spree.

We don't have any signed trade deals and the tariffs have not been finalized or figured out.

My daughter makes a lot of money on stock market because her smart, local Edward Jones guy makes it for her. I met him, nice young man. She won’t go to anyone else. Just this man who knows her.
