Iran’s so-called “Supreme Leader” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei emerged from exile Thursday to claim victory over Israel and said his country had “delivered a hand slap to America’s face” in his first public comments since a ceasefire was declared in the war between the two countries.
AP reports Khamenei spoke in a video broadcast on Iranian state television, his first public appearance since June 19 and aside from his sweeping claims on social media.
Viewers were told the U.S. had only intervened in the war because “it felt that if it did not intervene, the Zionist regime would be utterly destroyed.”
But the Islamic dictator gloated the U.S. “achieved no gains from this war” even after seven USAF stealth bombers dropped 14 30,000-pound bunker-busting bombs on Iran’s nuclear facilities earlier this week.
“The Islamic Republic was victorious and, in retaliation, delivered a hand slap to America’s face,” he said, in an oblique reference to an Iranian missile attack on America’s Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Monday, which caused no casualties or damage.

Iran is led by a delusional cleric.
I think that this is good news. He is declaring victory to save face for agreeing to a cease fire. It sets up the possibility of a longer term peace agreement which he can sell to Iranians — at least the gullible ones — as a success.
He’s speaking to his base - Iran’s backward Muslim peasantry - not the sophisticates in Tehran. The latter no doubt hate him more than ever, but whether the moment for a counterrevolution has arrived remains hard to determine.
It’s not as if our pols don’t do the same thing.
What’s important is he didn’t really retaliate.

The thought Iran without electric power, no sanitation and dwindling food supplies and nothing but dead cleric leaders, was not so appealing. That is why the good preacher decided on peace and prosperity.

But I ask this....How are the following faithful to Islam any different than our american mass media and news outlets in regards to messaging? How is the congress any different? How are our federal district judges any different? They all spout self declared virtuous ideology when faced with very simple truths they just don't like to coexist within their philosophical construct.
If the Hindenberg were a "green energy" program in 1934, the federal courts would be ordering the continued funding for it in 2025.
