Mandatory pronouns were the whole point of the transgender movement. ...
After losing a presidential election and a Supreme Court case, Democrats are looking to detransition from the transgender movement, but they can’t seem to manage to do it.
‘United States v. Skrmett’, the transgender movement’s biggest legal loss, bet everything on the Supreme Court getting comfortable with medically and chemically mutilating children based on dubious claims that it was the best way to reduce suicide rates. In ‘How the Transgender Rights Movement Bet on the Supreme Court and Lost’, a New York Times Magazine article blames the loss on growing extremism within the transgender movement.
In one of the most striking moments in the article, a Biden aide says of Dr. Rick ‘Rachel’ Levine, the man in a wig appointed as a top health official, going rogue, “everyone was like, holy cow — did Rachel Levine really go out and lobby for 9-year-olds to get surgery?”
The Biden administration couldn’t control Dr. Rick and the movement couldn’t police itself. Those inside it and the ‘allies’ around it were shocked at the extremism, but couldn’t stop it because ideological capture had left the party and the administration a shell of itself.

Once people are sold on the idea that men in dresses just want to live their lives and be left alone, mandatory pronouns and child mutilation can make a comeback with Trans 301. And it’s best not to ask for any details about Trans 401, the advanced grad courses and final exams.
But even two steps backward may be impossible.
The transgender movement, like BLM, the Hamas campus riots or the more recently illegal alien riots, was mostly about “cultural aggression”. That is why exposing children to drag queens, getting men to play against women and medically mutilating children were not unfortunate excesses that tainted a movement, but the larger purpose of the movement’s ‘allies’.
Democrats may want to detransition from the transgender movement, but as long as the Left sets their intellectual, moral and policy priorities, they’re just going to adopt an equally horrible movement. And they’ve already managed to adopt not just one, but four of them. And counting.
A serious discussion about the entire transgender movement by Mr Greenfield. Worth your time to finish on the FrontPage Magazine site.

Real detransitioning would include coffins.

No one will legitimize that nonsense. No tranny will ever have any credibility.
“….a New York Times Magazine article blames the loss on growing extremism within the transgender movement.“.
Yeah the transgender movement was totally fine until weirdos got ahold of it…

If a mentally ill guy follow my wife into a lady’s restroom. My wife Conceal Carry, so the mentally ill man might be cured of his mental illness. No playing around...
Former Biden appointee Sam Brinton has a lot to say on that topic, and will make his voice heard, as soon as he can find his ‘lost luggage “ at the airport.
Going beyond Trans 101 was a huge disservice to the extremely small number of persons who transition.
Several years ago, a co-worker in our IT office put us through Trans 101. “Ron” wanted to become “Ronnie.” He was an excellent programmer who had work well with his fellow employees for many years. He was of slight build and not very masculine. He kept quiet about his journey, but we knew something was up because he did not use the men’s room, or the ladies room. Rather, he used the bathroom in the nurse’s office, even though it was in another building.
When the time came, Ron sent an e-mail to his fellow employees, explaining that he would be taking time off to have surgery, and when he/she came back, she would like for us to call her Ronnie.
When Ronnie returned to work, she continued her excellent work as a programmer and interacted with us in the same way that she had before her surgery. She also continued using the bathroom in the nurse’s office.
Even so, it took some getting used to, with some of us continuing to refer to her as “he/him.” When one of us would inadvertently call her Ron, she would gently remind us that she would like to be called Ronnie. And while she did not wear dresses to work, we were still uncomfortable with what she had done. But we eventually accepted that she just wanted to live her life and we left her alone regarding her sexual identity, referring to her as “she/her” and calling her Ronnie.
Rep. McBride has it backwards. We are in this position because of the cultural aggression of “exposing children to drag queens, getting men to play against women and medically mutilating children.” These actions are what is being demonized, and rightfully so. Unfortunately, those persons who like Ronnie want to quietly live their lives and be left alone have been caught up in this demonization.
“That is why exposing children to drag queens, getting men to play against women and medically mutilating children were not unfortunate excesses that tainted a movement, but the larger purpose of the movement’s ‘allies’.”
Is this an analysis according to the Overton Window theory?
Support for transgender perversion isn’t the extreme in the Democrat party - it’s the norm.
A month or so ago there was a vote in the Senate to prevent males from competing in female sports. NOT A SINGLE DEMOCRAT voted for it.
That is true of entire Democrat party.
Re: Weirdos
When the “Weirdos” took over that’s when things went badly for the transgenders. Transgenders have been with us forever, ( and using restrooms), because they were rare, not obnoxious, and seriously tried to conservatively dress and mimic the opposite sex.
Until recently, they weren’t scary, pushy, flamboyant, or demanding, and were gracious when someone might “misgender” them.
Please read my post #16.
So true!

Notice the sign - “Trans Rights are Human Rights” - but, if this sick movement has its way, the child doesn’t really get a vote...
