(Snip) … Locally, both Iranian and Israeli communities rallied in Bellevue on Sunday to express their views on the strikes. Both groups voiced their support for each other and called for global awareness and regime change in Iran.
Homeira Bakhtiari, an Iranian-American activist, told KOMO News, "Believe it or not, most of the Iranians are happy and they celebrated yesterday because of that incident."
Iranians KOMO News interviewed at the rally expressed opposition to Iran's regime and uncertainty about what actions Iran might have taken if President Trump had not intervened.
Bakhtiari added, "If they had delayed for one month or for a few weeks, they would have a nuclear bomb, because they don’t have mercy for anyone."
Sasha Matison, an Israeli-American activist, described the attack as effective. "They attacked specifically the nuclear targets, they dropped, I think, 14 bombs specifically on the nuclear targets, on the nuclear reactors, and for me it was a very effective attack," Matison said.
"I’m part of the Jewish community and I’m really happy to be a part of my Iranian brothers and support them in [changing the regime]," Matison continued.
While some activists have expressed concerns about potential retaliation against the U.S., those who attended the rally emphasized their belief in the necessity of the strikes.
:-)
I had a number of customers who were Iranian ex pats. A small sample set, but they were great to deal with and get along with. And as an aside, they had some of the most attractive wives, mothers and daughters.
Not all Persians should be painted with the same brush as the radical clerics.
This is Seattle. They tolerated the CHOP, the murderous takeover of a neighborhood.
This is just propaganda to make themselves feel good about all the antiSemetic protests they encouraged.
They’re not inclusive. They’re just trying to pretend they care.
I disagree.
This is Neocon propaganda to convince Americans that Iranians will "welcome us with flowers" (as Cheney predicted about Iraq).
I expect the media will parade many "ordinary Iranians" before the cameras in coming weeks, telling us that Iranians are yearning for Americans to come in and liberate them.
That’s true.
Bellevue is NOT Seattle!
You are very misguided to compare the two.
I’m a graduate of Seattle Pacific university (STEM degree). I worked at Boeing nearly 21 years, raised a family out in North Bend, so I know the territory.
Bellevue is full of “Yuppies”, but Seattle is full
of the most most vile degenerates you pray to avoid.
Capitol hill is a sewer.
Avoid Seattle, pass through it as quick as you can for your own personal well being.
>> This is Neocon propaganda
Yawn. There’s a Neocon behind every tree. Of course.
I have a question for you, Angelino. Would you say about yourself that you have a biblical worldview? Or no?
so true.
My favorite Pope. |
Ah, the Bakhtiari. Amazing people. The BBC series 'The Ascent of Man' (1973) had a segment showing the Bakhtiari tribes during their seasonal nomadic journeys. Not sure if they still exist. Hard to believe the Islamic Republic left them alone.
True, but not all Iranians would take kindly to being called Persians.
The world is full of people with Biblical worldviews that contradict each other.
I'm a Catholic. I reject Dispensationalism and their false eschatology.
You didn’t answer the question, but thanks for the insight.
On second thought, I’ll put you down as a “No”.
False?
or merely non-Roman?
He(?) said CATHOLIC.
Surely that is a clarifying answer, since they all agree with each other.
>> Surely that is a clarifying answer
Clear as mud!
But if you're that dense, I'll try to make it more simple for you.
I do have a Biblical worldview. And my Biblical worldview tells me that your Biblical worldview is non-Biblical.
I saw this, and read that, but it resonated as...
And my Catholic worldview tells me that your Protestant worldview is heresy.
“Then these commissioners and satraps came by agreement to the king and spoke to him as follows: ‘King Darius, live forever! All the commissioners of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the high officials and the governors have consulted together that the king should establish a statute and enforce an injunction that anyone who makes a petition to any god or man besides you, O king, for thirty days, shall be cast into the lions’ den. Now, O king, establish the injunction and sign the document so that it may not be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which may not be revoked.’ Therefore King Darius signed the document, that is, the injunction” (Daniel 6:6-9). |
