President Trump has caught Democrats off guard over how to respond to the decisive airstrikes he ordered against Iran’s nuclear program — perhaps the most consequential move of his second administration.
While some Democrats erupted in fury, including a few like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who demanded he be impeached, others are outright praising the attacks as overdue. Dem leadership, meanwhile, is seemingly moving the goalposts for how tough they expect Trump to be on Iran.
“It’s all over the map,” Democratic strategist Brad Bannon, who hosts the progressive podcast “Deadline DC,” admitted to The Post about the party’s messaging on the strikes against Iran.
“It’s never good when messaging is all over the map,” he added. “Democrats have to find a way to unite against Trump’s provocations. The implications of this are mind-numbing.”
Shortly after Trump announced his strikes on Iran’s Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities, a few Democrats began beating the drums for impeaching Trump (for a third time), accusing the president of exceeding his constitutional powers.
“The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers,” AOC (D-NY) declared on X. “It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.”
Rep. Sean Casten (D-Ill.), echoed that sentiment as well.

I’m surprised the Dems aren’t already taking credit for the success. “Well of course we clobbered the Iranians - it’s still Joe Biden’s military.”
I expect some version of this by tomorrow, unless things go south, then it will be “Look how Trump screwed up the wonderful military Joe Biden left him.”

It’s hard for them to be intellectually honest in opposition.
Their guy Obama bombed Libya, without some congressional authorization. Their guy Clinton bombed Serbia.
So if they’re trying to say there has to be specific congressional authorization,,every time such military action happens, they are factually incorrect in such an opinion.
One way they can respond is by throwing their TACO in the trash. 😃
The reason the Democrat response is "all over the map" is that they're all rushing to fill the leadership void by being the first to make a declaratory statement of some kind.
They all want to be the next Jasmine Crockett, to suddenly emerge as a firebrand and bomb-thrower, to stake a claim for leadership within the party.

Someone said recently it’s harder for Dems to answer questions because they have to be told what the bosses want them to say and how to phrase it. Have to memorize it.

I honestly really like the look of the various bright, day glo colors in style now.
It remains to be seen whether or not anti-bombing Republicans lick their wounds and rally around Trump or if they bask in the attention demonicRATS in the Fake News Media shower them with.
