American Students Are Dumber Than Ever, Thanks To ‘Equity’

200 California bar exam takers have had their failing scores adjusted to “pass.”

...

In 2025, American students from kindergarten through law school are dumber than they’ve ever been, and we needn’t look beyond the nation’s abysmal math and English literacy NAEP scores to prove it.

In 2025, American students from kindergarten through law school are dumber than they’ve ever been, and we needn’t look beyond the nation’s abysmal math and English literacy NAEP scores to prove it. Now, more than 200 California bar exam takers have had their failing scores adjusted to “pass,” indicating that the newest crop of California lawyers are dumber than they’ve ever been, too. What’s more, under simultaneous consideration by the state bar is a rule allowing students who registered for — but withdrew from — taking the bar exam altogether, to practice law under the supervision of “qualified” attorneys, bar exam be hanged.

Something nefarious is a foot, and its name is equity.

I came within a few points of joining the "300 Club" for the CPA exam: score of 75 points on all 4 tests. That was 30 years ago. Toughest test I have ever taken, unashamed to say it took me 3 times to pass it. It was only administered during the months of May & November.

From what I understand, one can now take it monthly and focus on one test. I'll venture a guess that essay questions are not as large a part of the test than when I took it. Too bad, because that was why I passed the exam. My professor in college always used essay questions on his exams, never multiple choice.

"Equity" is the enemy of "Excellence."

They are still smart enough to advance the collectivist agenda. Look at Kamala Harris. All they need is an Attorney General with a Ivy League Law Degree to formulate policy, and these failures will be so happy to have jobs they will do whatever that General tells them.

Their young heads are too full of leftist fantasies to have room for a real education.

The new test:

“Are you a minority, or in a minority group?”

Answer “Yes”

Result of test: “Pick up your degree on your way out”

We keep pushing the lower third of the bell curve to participate in standardized testing. At some point there is a cohort of student that we are not preparing for pre med or an engineering degree, that I really do care to include in the stats.

I would say amongst the upper 2/3s of students the competition between countries is tight, since worldwide there is always someone who wants to study in the Big 10 and SEC schools. I would like to see more US students stay inside the more rigorous degrees, but it is free nation, become a doctor of basket weaving, less competition against the kids that I advise any major with programing computers and math, and a minor in the arts.

We know. Look at how they’ve reacted to the 2024 Elections. They are all severely retarded. We never acted like this when their boy Joe the Pedo was put up on the throne and became King of the Southern U.S. Border and expanded his kingdom by 21 million illegal aliens that they U.S. taxpayers are giving 3K a month to for doing nothing.

Equity is a part of it, but just a part of it.

We couldn’t be producing such stunningly dense, unskilled, distracted and propagandized younger generations without much more at work.

> don’t hire a dumb CA lawyer <

You have hit upon something important. These lax policies ruin the reputations of the good ones, the ones who worked hard to make the grade.

Now every new CA lawyer is suspect.

It’s no surprise that we see this in other professions as well. Medicine, teaching, etc.

This is DEI in reality. Communism wrapped up in a different name.

It lowers all boats to the lowest common denominator. If Tyrone can’t do calculus, then nobody does calculus. We can’t have ‘haves and have nots’. Equal outcome is the goal.

It can never RAISE all boats, which is what makes the USA such an economic power. It empowers people to innovate, work hard, and have the OPPORTUNITY to succeed. As well as the opportunity to sit on your butt and be a bum...with what goes with it.

The left doesn’t understand this, along with why it isn’t unfair and brings the highest standards possible. Also raising the standard of living for all those around the world that benefit from it.

This is what ‘professional educators’ bring. While at the same time ignoring parents because ‘teachers know best’. Yeah, fail. Basic education isn’t rocket science.

All part of the plan, stupid people are easier to manipulate into doing terrible things to others at your behest.

Why do people need to go to law school? MOst of what they do is chase 'ambulances' (nowadays, EMT trucks). Attorneys have taken the jobs of insurance adjusters. They make their money from accident victims, who are promised obscene settlement amounts for their injuries.

Morgan and Morgan and most law firms, make most of their money from injury settlements. Criminal law? Who cares when there's a lot more money from car accidents and other injuries?.

So, anybody that goes to law school, should automatically be granted the law degree and go learn on the job.

My mother was a teacher of the learning disabled for a public school district and retired in 1995. She suggested a long time ago that there are simply more low-IQ children being born here in America than there used to be. I think she happens to be right about that. If a kid doesn’t have much to start with then it makes even a good teacher’s job that much more difficult.

“Every system is perfectly designed to get the result that it does.” W. Edwards Deming

We don’t have good systems producing poorly educated products. Public education, on the whole, is not designed for individual educational achievement.

It is designed for mass production of mediocrity, wherein those on either side of the bell curve are impaired by the pace and potential of the other.

So they’ve got 200 lawyers who couldn’t pass the bar exam. And the judges will all give them a pass.

The problem with equity is that if you can’t make the dumb kids smarter, you have no choice but to make the smart kids dumber.
