Iran said on Friday that it has rejected “several” calls for negotiations from the United States after President Donald Trump gave a two-week deadline for his decision on possibly striking the Islamic Republic, leaving the door open for talks with Tehran.
Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in an address on state television, “Americans want to negotiate and have sent messages several times, but we clearly said that as long as this aggression doesn’t stop, there’s no place for talk of dialogue,” the New York Post reported. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, rejected Trump’s call for the country to surrender on Wednesday as Israel continues to pound Iranian nuclear facilities and missile launchers from the sky and take out the regime’s military leaders.
“Wise individuals who know Iran, its people and its history never speak to this nation with the language of threats, because the Iranian nation is not one to surrender,” Khamenei said.
“Americans should know that any military involvement by the U.S. will undoubtedly result in irreparable damage to them,” he added.
Iran escalated the conflict with Israel on Thursday morning, striking a major Israeli hospital. President Trump said on Thursday that he would decide whether to attack Iran “within the next two weeks.”
“Based on the fact that there’s a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks,” the president said in a statement shared by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
While Trump gave a two-week timeline for a decision on Iran, an Israeli official told The Times of Israel that the U.S. ally expects...

They’re negotiating with Europe, so Europe doesn’t bomb them, so they don’t need to negotiate with Trump.
The mullahs are slow learners.
Can’t imagine why they wouldn’t. I mean they were negotiating with the US when Israel suddenly attacked their capabilities and killed civilian scientists.
Of course, because Europe will capitulate... but I still fail to see Europe’s role here: in judicial terms, they pretty much ‘lack standing’.
Why would they negotiate when they will have a working bomb in a few days according to the IAEC?
By the time 47 has all his pieces lined up, Iran will have used its nukes. “One day the world will remember for centuries” - Iran’s Supreme Leader.
Time for the Ayatollah to meet his one, 72 year old virgin
LOL.
I’m not sure that was negotiating. It looked more like kicking the can until a working bomb was ready. That’s called stalling.
Well…negotiations is loose definition when it comes to the euros
“I’m not sure that was negotiating. It looked more like kicking the can until a working bomb was ready. That’s called stalling.”
Sorry but the instant gratification diplomacy just doesn’t work. Ever thought of the other people who put in the years of work to progress this far?You want results now. Not like you asking a lot right? What you are doing is showing a vast disrespect, and it shows, people like you would see people in lesser countries as subjects whose opinions in things is always subservient to what you want.
So should we just leave them alone?
Trump is using the two weeks to prepare and do what’s necessary to protect our forces in the Middle East.
I thought they had all left IRAN? There’s no one there to negotiate?
Iran’s nuclear program is an ancillary issue.
They are the next battlefield on the proxy-war on Russia and China.
The idea assumed in negotiating is to come to a conclusion. The fact it’s been years without result is telling. That and Iran hasn’t given up its death to Israel/USA rhetoric going so far as to threaten with nukes. A normal person must conclude Iran isn’t serious and is stalling until it can make good on its threats.
You have chosen poorly...
That site would soon stop functioning if its electrical supply, water supply and all the ground support around it was neutralized. Bombing it direct and causing fires involving large amounts of uranium in various stages of process will release radiation and cause an enviormental disaster. The world will quickly forget the reasons for the bombing but will blame the bomber for the catastophre. Muslims will be particularly outraged.

Exactly. It’s a dog and pony show to come up with an excuse to cut off Russia’s supplies by attacking Iran. It’s about as poorly though out a plan as I’ve ever seen with several long term implications. You can be sure Turkey, for one, will immediately start on getting nukes.
