BERLIN, June 18 (Reuters) - The foreign ministers of Germany, France and Britain plan to hold nuclear talks with their Iranian counterpart on Friday in Geneva, a German diplomatic source told Reuters. The ministers will first meet with the European Union's top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, at Germany's permanent mission in Geneva before holding a joint meeting with the Iranian foreign minister, the source said.
The European initiative comes amid fears of a spiralling conflict in the Middle East after Israel launched wide-ranging military strikes on its arch-enemy Iran last week and Iran sent waves of missiles at Israeli targets in response.
President Donald Trump has declined to say whether the United States will join its ally Israel's military campaign, fuelling concerns that the crisis could intensify. The aim of the talks between Iran and the Europeans, which the German source said are taking place in coordination with the United States, is to persuade the Iranian side to firmly guarantee that it will use its nuclear programme solely for civilian purposes

With all due respect to the European ministers, no one cares. They aren’t in the driver’s seat. Israel and the US are. This is just like Ukraine. No one cares what they have to say since they have no military to back up their policy goals.
I think the message from Europe is, “HEY! HEY! We’re relevant!”
They’ll take a deal from somebody more malleable and they’ll tell us that’s the one to take.
A little late in the day for “nuclear talks” with the EU, I would say. Can’t imagine what they could talk about that would make any difference.

Exactly. Their goal is to survive, and then continue to develop nukes. We can't cut deals with a regime that targets missiles at hospitals.

Of course. Talk, talk, talk. They are trying to pressure Trump not to give the bunker busters to Israel, all while they bomb hospitals with cluster bombs. It appears that Israel has decided to help Khameini today to transfer him to his 72 virgins. He will be happier there.
The EU has been compromised by Muslims and can’t be trusted, especially when talking about Iran.
Some muzzies are on the bench while others are on the field but they are ALL on the same team and lying to infidels is their policy.
Although that hit was reprehensible, I don't know enough about the accuracy of Iranian missiles to conclude that it was intentional. They certainly are morally capable of it, but I would think military targets would be a higher priority.
Maybe they’ll get REALLY lucky.
