Any reprieve from enforcement must be temporary and policies must be put in place to require industries hire Americans first and seek foreign workers through legal means.
I can understand the preference to deport the illegals in the Blue Cities who are the worst offenders and frequently are voting illegally in elections. However, all illegals should be deported. Yes, that means higher labor costs.
Even today, at the flagpoles, he went back to how we need to focus on the thug types first and we need to protect our farmers and leisure and hotel industries.
Worse, Alex Jones was read in on and shared the plan to let those so employed return from “deportation” as legal workers.
Also, Cortes and Bannon acknowledged Trump’s sympathy to illegal workers.
Only if Trump’s base doesn’t accept this will he actually keep to it, I am certain.
If he does he’ll lose Congress for certain.
Agreed. Anyone making these comments is admitting guilt for hiring illegal aliens and should be prosecuted for the same.
Legal workers will fill the void. Employers should consider any loss of experience as a lesson learned.
Then they need to get guest worker permits.
My big thing remains...if you were counted in the census...correct the census...
Higher labor costs; you would think that the unions might get behind this removal effort to score their big goal, higher labor costs. That they seem to be protesting the removals puts them in the same bed with the slave driving business owners who love their “low labor costs.”
So the conundrum: remove them all and aid the unions or exempt business and prop up the would-be slavers.
They need seasonal worker permits / migrant worker visas and the companies can pay for it. Then the government can ween these companies off their cheap labor addiction.
. The problem is that we still have anchor babies and we get stuck with these “workers” forever.
Have the govt move folks over to immigration and ramp it up. Do a background check, if crimes (other than entry) ship them home, if they have been here, working, earning money, paying taxes, put them into the system, give them work permits and they can go through the process.
If they have been illegal they should pay back taxes, pay fines and go back to work.
I read yesterday that each deported illegal leads to ten self-deported illegals. That stops if the self-deporting think that there’s still a chance. Stop getting squishy.
Yes
Congress has done next to nothing so far. The RNC has only itself to blame if the majority is lost next year. The RNC needs to make a MAJOR push for replacing RINOs in the Primaries with actual Limited Government zealots, if they really want to retain their majority.
No mention of Trump’s offer in his first term. You can stay but never vote.
Since then Biden brought in 20 million. If the 1st 2 years get rid of the gang bangers and the crime goes down we’ll win the mid-terms.
If they were to pass a never-vote rule the next rat POTUS will reverse it.
Going along with this issue is outright discrimination against American workers.
I’ve heard employers say they need illegals because they had a black employee who didn’t work out.
So they have a sample size of one and decide they don’t want to hire black people again.
It’s quite blatant but nobody seems to care.
“Only if Trump’s base doesn’t accept this will he actually keep to it, I am certain.”
I stated a long time ago that they would do some token deportations and then start talking amnesty or programs to let them stay. We’ll see.
Legal workers will fill the void.
That is often mentioned. If it is true what is the additional cost per employee.
Do not disagree with you just wondering.
That a great idea. Give them a temporary work permit but their families are not included (this includes mommy and poppy and the tias and tios). They can stay home, wave their own flag and live off their own government. The tax payers should not have to pay thousands for the families while the farmers, restaurants, and hotels pay slave labor wages to the bean earner.
The market will decide, yes?
The 2 biggest issues Trump ran on were immigration and no new wars. He seems to be backing away from both positions. The bloom is off the rose.
