No. Only *ARROGANT* @$$hole Judges can do that. I hate arrogant judges, and I want to see them thrown in prison where they belong.
I hope everyone realizes that Judges under the English Law system are stand-ins for the King.
All the terminology of the "Court" (as in the King's Court) system are derived from Monarchy.
"Bench" means "Throne." Judges "Robes" are a stand-in for King's robes. The Gavel is a stand-in for a scepter. Litigants "Plea" before a judge as they would before a King.
It's all very imperial, and it is also ill suited to a Republic. We should not have monarchist Judges in our system.
