President Donald Trump has one well-known and exploitable weakness: His inordinate love for the triumphal announcement that he has brokered a deal. This inordinate love has already spawned two terrible blunders that threaten us all, one actual and one potential.
The actual blunder is the welcoming of Chinese students into American Universities. This blunder stems from his failing to recognize that every Chinese student is a spy.
This is not to say that each and every Chinese student is actively engaged in spying at every moment. But it is the case that each and every Chinese student is legally obliged under Chinese law to undertake espionage whenever so directed by Chinese authorities. The Chinese law is found in sections 7 and 17 of the Chinese statute known as the “National Intelligence Law.”
And each and every one of these Chinese students has family back in China, rendering the student vulnerable to pressure arising from threats against the family.
Moreover, the presence inside the USA of secret Chinese “police stations” provides the organizational potential to harness this vulnerability to drive the student to espionage.
The other potential blunder lies in his quest for a deal with Iran.
Although the President correctly observes that there can be no peace if Iran has a nuclear weapon, he is in the grip of lust for the glory of creating a deal, stating,
“Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal, just like I got India and Pakistan to make, in that case by using TRADE with the United States to bring reason, cohesion, and sanity into the talks with two excellent leaders who were able to quickly make a decision and STOP!”

I’m sure many of you will disagree with the author, I’m posting this to read you opinions.
Sometimes these folks and their editors need to listen to themselves. And no serious article should start off with “Trump said”.. as evidence of anything. Taking Trump at his “word” i.e. taking him literally is a constant common mistake. To take him seriously means watching what he does.
100% agree on Chinese spies. Every Chinese national is a spy whether they want to be or not. Nobody with family back in China should be in the country for work or education.
Hence why we should not educate them. Congress is full of morons.
From time to time Trump does thing that make me cringe, but the things he gets right out weigh those things by over 100 to 1.
The things that this article mentions almost fall into the bleh, who cares category.
I think his is playing a big part.

Every economic indicator is moving in the right direction; the rodents are splintered;Euro weenies are falling in line line and Trump is above water line in many measurements.
Your point is minicual and rather tacky.
I have been involved with the Chinese spy issue. They are stealing our intellectual property in every company and university.
At the end of his term, you will either keep harping, or you might just find that he was for more successful than you are currently not giving him.
At this point, if President Trump makes a mistake, or people think he made a mistake, I just go “ouch” and move on. For a baseball analogy, he’s my star pitcher, no other pitcher is even close, so I’m sticking with him, especially here in the second round of the “World Series”, e.g. the second term. Big time.
The Chinese student spy is a brutal truth. They bully white kids as well. There is a special school being built in Newton MA by a Chinese billionaire just for his ilk, they’ll be taught most properly without wokeism.

The author seems like a NeverTrumper or Leftist who thought she found something she could fixate on and bash Trump with.
Failing to recognize?
Get real.
Every person in USA academia knows that Chinese students - and specifically graduate students - are stealing 100% of the USA intellectual property they have access to.
Hence why we should not educate them. Congress is full of morons.
><
Congress has been paid off.
I reject the author’s premise of what Trump “loves.”
How to spot Never-Trumpers from the OG GOP - they concern-troll on minor side issues to show how he’s bringing ruin on the ‘conservative movement’.
List his accomplishments.
We’ll put you in the anti-Tru camp.

I guess my thought is that by being involved with China in any way , we are involved with the PRC, which is Communist. If it were just the normal Chinese people & their government was either not Communist or not involved at at all, then it might not be a problem. As it is, though, it is a huge problem.
