Well, guess we’re back to forever wars. Trump must have put up his John McCain poster again. And this thread seems to have brought out all the chickenhawk huckleberries.

Trump has always said Iran can't have the bomb, and that he would do whatever it takes to prevent them from getting it. Diplomacy and sanctions were his focus throughout his first term, and he has been aggressively negotiating since he began his second term. Iran has refused to accept his terms. Trump has been consistent and clear over the past 9 years. This IS what we voted for.

Based on what Trump just said at G-7, the gears have been set in motion, and he is making a final push for a diplomatic settlement. If Iran fails to accept his offer, we will likely use the forces Trump is moving to the region.

The there is no longer a question of Iran having the bomb.

In the last five days, the IAF has eliminated the Iranian nuclear capability. Both the existing supplies and most importantly, the capability to manufacture more are just gone.

More importantly, the question now is can the mullah’s theocracy maintained by a military command that is now all dead survive. The question is no longer the nuclear program capability but rather the much larger issue of the Iranian government.
