Is this a new war? Lindsey Graham, member of the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, seems to think so and is panting like Jeffrey Toobin on a Zoom call:
Game on.
Officially, the US State Department does not share the enthusiasms of Yaroslav's wise guy:

- although that might just be a bit of necessary head-fakery. Alternatively:
On April 12th, Trump gave Iran a 60-day ultimatum to reach an agreement on its nuclear program.
Today is day 61 — Visegrád 24 (@visegrad24) June 13, 2025
Washington has also revealed that it shared its heads-up from Israel with one of its Arab allies - presumably the Saudis.
So far, for Israel, it's going well: they have destroyed the Republican Guard headquarters and killed its commander, General Salami. In other targeted assassinations, the head of the Iranian army is dead, as are more than ten nuclear scientists, and various other bigshots, including at least one potential successor to Ayatollah Khamenei, who for the moment appears to be alive. It's the biggest military action on the soil of the Islamic Republic since the Iran/Iraq War forty years ago.
~To get the obvious out of the way, what should America do?
🚨 A direct strike on Iran right now would disastrously split the Trump coalition. Trump smartly ran against starting new wars, this is what the swing states voted for - the midterms are not far and Congress' majority is already razor-thin. America First! — Jack Poso 🇺🇸 (@JackPosobiec) June 12, 2025
That's probably correct as far as the politics of it is concerned. But the other reason for not getting America involved is, of course, that the Pentagon is totally crap at war.

“presumably the Saudis”
Well, probably so, but Jordan was most at risk.
There were conflicting reports last night/early this morning that (1a) Jordan officially announced closure of its airspace (backed up by official statement and (1b) Jordanian AF had downed multiple drones and missiles violating its airspace and posing danger to its population (also officially confirmed by Jordan) and (2) Jordan had opened its airspace to US and Israeli military aircraft, and that they, together with Jordanian military jets, had shot down missiles and drones from Iran bound for Israel over Jordan (no confirmation of any kind I have seen so far).
Has anyone seen confirmation of (2)?

Negotiate and agree to our terms, or we’ll start a war with you.

Jordan is at risk but so is Saudi Arabia, very much at risk because of the oil there....
which the Iranian dictators want and want badly.
The Saudis already have been attacked both by Iran on the east and Yemen, Iran’s proxy on the west. Plus, Iran has reportedly been smuggling military gear into Saudi to beef up the arms of its proxy terrorist gangs within Saudi Arabia proper (especially in the oil areas of eastern S.A. which happen to have a heavy Sheite population)
there’s a lot of vulnerability in the region (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Baharin, Jordan, Israel, Egypt...)...all which would be far happier if the Iranian-sponsored terrorism and direct Iranian nuclear and missile threats are finally terminated.

Trump gave Iran 60 days before Israel took out its nuclear capabilities.
There is no scenario where we should be going to war with Iran unless it, somehow, directly attacked this country.

I trust my reputation as a Super Zionist is taken into consideration when I say:
“Israel’s got this!”
There is no need for us to step in directly and muddy the waters.
Should iran stupidly directly attack our troops and bases, well, I trust DJT’s political and strategic instincts to do what is best for the country and conservatism, which is way above my pay grade.
In the mean time, Israel seems to have a two-week long lists of targets. Happy hunting!

I will repeat what I told another myopic isolationist.
While not all involvement is right, in the real world ostrich isolationism is irrational. Any nuke armed, ballistic missile, war mongering country, and aligned with other countries aiming the same at the US, is an enemy to the US.
And while Western Europe, as well as most of the US is committing slow suicide via its acceptance of entrenched Wokeism, these are not nuke threats, unlike the 3 aligned countries that were so before Ukraine.
As regards Israel, Iran should never have gotten this far.
US kicked the can down the road for years; Israel attacked can.
Iran vows new nuclear steps in response to IAEA censure Iran on Thursday repudiated a declaration from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that it's not complying with its nuclear obligations, and said it would enhance aspects of its nuclear program in response.
That was before Israel (reacted) attacked this recalcitrant enemy of it and the US. It actually was warranted and saves lives, as would have dealing with Germany by stopping it earlier.
Add to that:

I agree that Iran has been allowed to go way too far. Their leadership is insane, at least they are committed to an insane ideology. Israel should do what it has to...against Iran & against Hamas. And Trump should be giving them all the support possible.
