Ms. Bass struggled amid criticism of her initial response to the Los Angeles fires in January. The opposition over President Trump’s immigration raids have offered her an opportunity.
For the past three days, Mayor Karen Bass has been a high-profile figure across Los Angeles.
She turned up at parking lots where federal officials had conducted immigration sweeps. She posted updates on social media seeking to reassure embattled immigrants that the city would fight for them. She held a news conference at City Hall to rally her constituents and assail President Trump for deploying the National Guard.
“It’s the last thing our city needs,” Ms. Bass said. “Our city is still trying to recover from wildfires.”

LOL! Does the NYT have their own marijuana supplier or do they grow their own.
They are detached from reality.

They’ve been detached from reality for quite some time now.

That glittering jewel of colossal ignorance couldn’t lead flies to a fresh pile of Dorkbamastuff. L.A. has the leader that they very much deserve...and very much will suffer for.

So far, the Mayor’s response seems to be along the lines of “The Feds should leave, we enjoy burning. We’re used to it.”

Wait hold up the Slimes are saying that Bass did a good job during the LA fires LOL LOL OMG OMG I almost peed my pants from laughing so damn hard
To: DallasBiff
Oh man. This is really being generous. The only thing Bass is proving herself competent in doing is sitting around doing nothing other than making statements as her city burns yet again.

Oh, it burns. The stupid, it burns.
The more so because it is so willful.
100% of this grief and woe is self-induced.

Now this is a perfect demonstration of why we should post things from sources like the NYT. Because sometimes, they give away the truth even when they didn't mean to....
She posted updates on social media seeking to reassure embattled immigrants that the city would fight for them.
So the mayor promised residents that the city would fight against ICE. And there it is -- the city wanted this violence to happen because they thought it would dissuade ICE from enforcing the law.

Yeah, about her leading through a crisis….that ship sailed

Sheesh. She CREATED BOTH crises and she did NOTHING about either one.
Is she in Ghana today?

Karen Bass is an “ex” Communist, having worked with the pro-Castro Venceremos Brigades in the 1970s. Another “ex” Communist is John Brennan, former director of the CIA, who voted for the Communist Party USA candidate, Gus Hall, in the 1976 presidential election. How many more U.S. public officials have similar resumes? I would not be surprised if Bass and Brennan are still in touch with Chinese, Russian, or Cuban intelligence services. The level of Communist infiltration of the Democratic Party is such that it is at least partially under control of hostile foreign players.

Newsom and Bass are accomplices to insurrection. They should be arrested and sent to J6 prison to wait the time until their first court hearing. I hear that that can take a long time. Perhaps it can be sooner than six or seven years, but who knows.
