There is a reason I left Los Angeles.
As long as I can recall living in LA, every time you would drive past a Home Depot or a similar store, there would be a crowd of illegal immigrants who were waiting for work.
You do feel bad for these people. Many of them have crossed the border in an attempt to seek work and send remittances back home, and many of them are also on welfare. It turns out that an enormous number of people who come across the border end up engaging in things that leech off of the taxpayer dime; they end up as a net cost to the taxpayer. They take part in the public education system if they have kids who they bring across the border; they end up using medical services.
But the issue is this: It’s not about whether these people are nice or mean, whether they are good or bad.
They have broken the law. They crossed the border illegally. And that is just the ones who otherwise are law-abiding.
And then there are a bunch of people who are not otherwise law-abiding. There are many people in Southern California or occupying jails in Southern California who committed crimes in addition to illegal immigration.
Federal law says you are not allowed to cross the American border without your papers, and that if you overstay your visa, even if you come across the border legally with a visa, then you are also here illegally and you ought to be deported.
Enforcing that law should not be controversial. There is a reason countries have borders, but the United States, for as long as I can recall, simply did not enforce the law properly. That was particularly true under Joe Biden.
When Donald Trump came into...

“You do feel bad for these people.”
Uhhh...no.
“ Federal law says you are not allowed to cross the American border without your papers”
What about the 10 million or so who crossed the border falsely claiming asylum during Biden administration? Are they here illegally or legally? I think they are probably legal until they get their hearing. They should have had a hearing at the border and been turned back which is what Trump did during his first administration.
All the organizations such as Catholic charities, Lutheran services and Jewish services who taught these people how to dishonestly claim asylum were doing the opposite of God’s work.
You do feel bad for these people. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
So did our forefathers....as citizens though, they abided by the Constitution and by the laws of our country.
Now we are de-creating our United States because many lefties and religious NGO people”feel bad for these People.”
Feel bad for your country, we need to stop its destruction.
Do not vote for or support politicians like Newsomb and Bass and their organizations like Act Blue, funded by communists, including China, who want to destroy America.
Bass herself was a member of the Venceremos Brigade founded by Cuba’s Castro in America, a stone cold Communist who will never abide by the Constitution. Vote her out.She made many trips to Cuba.
And who the hell was paying for the screen printed “Biden let us in” t shirts.
A common talking point in our local liberal rag is the “The USA illegally stole California from Mexico” la raza reconquista crap. I don’t think the democrat enablers realized just how massive their monster has become.
SAW THIS INFO HERE ON FR:
2000==72% of Los ANGELES is Hispanic
2025==82.3 % of Los Angeles is Hispanic
36% are FOREIGN born.
I feel as bad for these people as I did for the squatters that took over wifey’s house way back when she let her drug-addled daughter live there for a time, invited the scum in then left herself because SHE couldn’t deal with them. Much heartache and lost cash later they were forced out by the sheriff’s department and WE got to watch. Turns out that as soon as a real estate sale is concluded and the deed is signed the new owner has 24 hours to “take over the property and clear out trespassers”. One hour after we sold at a considerable loss, the sheriff’s department, at the behest of the new owners, showed up, took a look at the deed, noted the date and then informed the TRESPASSERS(squatters) that they had neither permission from the owner NOR had been there long enough to acquire “tenents rights” because the new owners had literally just bought the property and the squatters hadn’t been there long enough to have any rights at all. Gray area? Maybe. Legal? Oh YES! They were serial squatters with a reputation in our area and last we heard they were living in the woods with their two hoodlum adolescents. Where IS child protection services when they are really needed? Signed: will NEVER EVER rent to ANYBODY!
Mexico took it from Spain
Wow, what a horrible experience! Tenants’ rights in the USA are way out of whack.
We had exactly ONE rental experience about 40 years ago. We were investors with a group of people and the member we put in charge of getting a tenant did NO background checking at all. We got a criminal tenant who destroyed the place, stole fixtures, appliances, destroyed the hot tub and pump, left knee-deep filth everywhere, and, after the water had been shut off, continued to use the toilet. It took us over six months to get the sheriff to evict him during which time he paid zero rent. He disappeared before the sheriff showed up. We cleaned the place up as best we could and sold at a huge loss.
Congress can create a Trumpstan on the Mexican border.
They get asylum there.
There is a reason (actually several reasons) I have never been to Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Newscum is letting LA burn to the ground.
“”Meanwhile, Newscum is letting LA burn to the ground.””
I’m sure he’s thrilled that he’s getting a second chance this year.
All those organizations you mentioned especially Catholic Charities make millions off taxpayers. These orgs want illegals. We need to cut theur funding.
